Chapter 3

What will it be?
Mike is unaware of his ability but aware of that of everyone else.
It's another morning. Mike gets up from his bed, still groggy. He looks around his room, screening for anything "abnormal". Everything seems to be in order - his clothes are still stacked on the chair in the corner, his Taylor Swift posters are still just the same, and his computer is still in the same place. Mike walks over to the mirror on his wardrobe door and checks himself out. He's still in his pajamas, with messy hair.
Nothing's amiss.
Mike lets out a sigh of relief.
Three days prior, Mike and his buddies grew suspicious; though and talked about it; and then realized that something was extremely wrong with the world. People were doing genuinely not-normal (and sometimes disgusting) things and everyone else treated them as if they were acting completely normal. Even Mike and his buddies couldn't tell apart abnormal behaviour without questioning everything and everyone. Paranoia is a very stressful thing indeed.
To not fall victim to any perverts or opportunists, they decided to go about their days as they would, but while always questioning everything anyone in their vicinity did. Paranoia is a very stressful thing.
Mike pondered about how bad things had gotten as he lay on his bed, exhausted before the day had even begun.
How bad had it gotten?
