Your father is a very powerful and rich man. It is impossible for somebody like him to lead a mostly illegal organization without making a lot of enemies. And some of these enemies are from the inside. Miguel is the right hand of your father for several years now. If he would order one of his henchmen to execute the boss’s former wife, everybody would believe the order came from your father. A murder to somebody close to a crime lord would lead to investigations and possibly to your father’s arrest. And with him in prison, Miguel could take over the criminal empire and get rid of every other possible successor.

However, this is only speculation and you have no proof. But Miguel has the men, the power and a good motive. You have to be careful around him. you are not sure if he would see you as a threat or a trophy. You need to find out more. As soon as possible.
