Might as well try the lock.

Going to work on the chest you work the little hooks into the lock, twisting and turning it is odd, you can almost remember how to do this, but you haven't ever picked a lock before have you? The lock clicks softly and you pull the chest open. “That was easy.” You find yourself saying with surprise in your voice. Looking inside you find what you assume is whatever items of value they found on the other victims in the dungeon. As you inspect the contents you also become aware that most of the things in here sort of glow the longer you look at them, and as you stare at a dagger longer and longer the glow becomes more, almost like an inner voice telling you that it returns to the hand of a thrower, or if dropped it will return to it's sheath. It has leather straps that are not all that long but you are able to buckle it to your left upper arm.

The next thing you pick up is a rather small backpack you would guess weighs only a couple of pounds but it is telling you that it can hold one hundred pounds without ever increasing in weight. “Cool.” Quickly looking inside you see it also sort of has everything inside at easy reach as well so you can clearly see it currently holds about 5 lbs of jerky, a long loaf of bread, a cheese wheel, 3 skins of water, a spool of thin but strong looking rope with a little hook on the end, and a pair of massive pants with a huge belt. Using the dagger you cut yourself a makeshift tight tube skirt and halter top out of the legs of the leather pants and buckle the belt and toss it over your shoulder and across your body, it has several hooks on it that you are sure will come in handy.

Turning back to the chest you find a bow that is to hard to draw, and a sword that is to heavy, but as both are magic you stuff them in the backpack to sell later.

Finally at the bottom of it all is a little wooden jewelry box. The box itself doesn't seem to be magic, but inside are three very cool little items: A thin silver anklet that you strap onto your right ankle that masks your passage so you leave no tracks. A matching bracelet that mystically improves your accuracy and skill with any ranged weapon. Finally another little silver chain bracelet that you slip on your right wrist that has 3 little protection charms on it that it says you can use their magic each once a day for three different effects; to become invisible for up to an hour as long as you don't do anything hostile, create a magical ward that lasts an hour that protects your mind from hostile magic or detection, and last create an invisible shield that blocks incoming attacks for 10 minutes.

Finally with at least some things to protect yourself you turn your attention to the door. Just as you hear it begin to open. A familiar voice says, “Go in and eat it up, dog.”
