Chapter 46 by zankoo zankoo

What's next?

Michelle is apparently more drunk than anyone thought

Chris's eyes lit up, and his heart raced with a mixture of excitement and conflict. While he was committed to Michelle, there was a part of him that enjoyed the thrill of flirting with other women. Abbie's quick and enthusiastic response caught him off guard, fueling his desire to explore this temporary connection. Usually, he gravitated towards older, more intoxicated women who were visibly alone, but Abbie's interest ignited a unique spark within him.

Just as he was thinking about all of this, both Jake and Michelle returned to the table at about the same time. Michelle cracked a strange joke about what she and Jake were doing when they were away from the table, but between Chris's suspicion that Michelle had actually been flirting with the bartender and Jake's unwillingness to play along with the joke, no one laughed. A bit of an awkward silence filled the air.

Chris began to wonder if the conversation with Abbie a moment ago had been a dream. There was nothing in the vibe right now that matched what he had sensed before. Okay, clearly I misunderstood Abbie's sense of humor or something, thought Chris.

The waiter returned with dinner. The timing was good, since the group needed something to break the monotony of silence. The food was exquisite, so at the very least, they had that to comment on.

Michelle started rambling about some story that must have meant something in her mind, but no one else at the table knew what she was talking about. Chris, recognizing something familiar in her, was the only one to reply.

"Chelle, you're talking a bit loud. I'm not even sure any of us know what you mean when you say 'butter snake.' Is that a thing?"

"Fuck yes, it's a thing!" Michelle lifted her wine glass a little too fast, and some of it splashed out. "Ah, shit. Sorry."

"Did you get another drink when you went to pay the bar tab?"

Michelle stared at Chris. "Did I? Get another drink? When I ... did what?"

Chris laughed. "You did." He turned to Jake. "It was probably a shot of something. Sometimes, she's kind of a lightweight."

"It's true," Michelle confided in Abbie. "I'm a lightweight." She turned to Jake. "Did you know ..." she announced in his direction. "Did you know that when I drink too much, I pass out during sex?"

Chris nodded. "It's happened more than once."

"More information than I was expecting, thank you very much," said Jake. He was about to dig into a bite of his dinner when he was distracted by something under the table. He looked up and made instant eye contact with Abbie. She smirked at him and then winked -- leading Jake to realize that what he felt was the return of Abbie's foot against his pants.

While Michelle was ranting about who knows what, Abbie had quietly slipped off her right shoe, and ran her toes up the inside of Jake's leg. As she arrived at the top, she pushed forward as far as she could (without sliding her body further down her chair, which would have looked awkward), and made very slight contact with Jake's groin.

Jake recovered from the initial startle, and nudged his chair in a little bit, getting just another inch or two closer to Abbie.

"... and that is how I wound up topless ... in the swimming pool ... with an inflatable Ron Weasley ... at the house next door to Drew Barrymore." Michelle, the **** having knocked out any sense of social civility, was meandering through stories that no one was listening to.

Chris didn't even pretend to try to smooth things out. "Chelle, you're fucking plastered. Eat something, for Christ's sake."

"I will eat when the fucking dinner gets here," she said, cocking her head from side to side.

Chris leaned forward and whispered, "your dinner is here, you fool."

Michelle looked down and laughed. "Oh, you're totally right. Look, there it is." She scooped up a forkful of rice.

"Jake," said Abbie, still staring at him, working her toes against his rapidly hardening dick. "Before you got back to the table, Chris mentioned how cute he thought you and I looked together." She batted her eyelashes at him. "And I wanted you to know that I agreed with him."

Jake swallowed a bit of steak. "You? Agreed with someone? Get out of here." Jake was being casually playful, but at the same time, slid a hand under the table and touched Abbie's foot against his pants.

"I told him how much fun you were. How you were always up for an adventure." She pressed down on him harder on the word 'adventure.'"

Jake gasped slightly. "Me? Surely you mean you."

Abbie smiled. "We bring out the best in each other."

"Excuse me," said Michelle, chewing on a mouthful of rice. "I'm pretty sure I ordered rice, but all my rice is gone."

Chris shook his head. "I think she had an edible before coming down to dinner. It's like everything hit at once. She's also wacked out because of the wedding, and she doesn't really like weddings."

Michelle whispered to Abbie. "I don't like weddings."

"Honey, I kind of think that maybe you should go back to the room." Chris stood up and put his napkin on his chair. "Come on, I'll take you back."

Michelle put a hand up, pointing one finger. "Hang on. What's that noise?"

Amidst all of this, Abbie kept wiggling her toes against Jake, thoroughly enjoying her secret sexual play under the table. Jake kept staring at Abbie, in a way, trying to ignore the chaos around them.

"It's my phone!" Michelle opened her handbag and pulled her cell out. "It's my phone, that was the noise!" She plopped it on the table and they all watched it ring. "If you wait long enough, it stops ringing."

Chris walked around to Michelle's side of the table. "Chelle, let's go." Michelle nodded and took Chris's hand. "I'm so sorry, what a horrible impression we've made."

"You've made," corrected Michelle. "I've been an angel."

Chris laughed. "I'm going to get her back to the room. It was nice meeting you both."

Neither Jake nor Abbie was able to stand up to bid them farewell -- Jake was mostly hard, thanks to Abbie's foot play, and Abbie was stretched out under the table.

"Maybe we'll see you again later?" Abbie asked Chris.

Chris smiled. "Maybe." Michelle waved at them weakly as Chris escorted her away.

Jake watched them go. "That was ... weird."

"Forget them," Abbie said. "Let's enjoy our meal." She squeezed her toes on his cock a little harder as she speared a piece of steak with her fork.
