Michelin Star restaurant

They pulled up to a restaurant called Sakura which was a fusion of east asian food with an innovative twist. It was awarded a Michelin star for its one of a kind dishes that elevated the flavors of Japan, China, and Korea.

Alexa smiled as they were seated by the window which had a beautiful view of the garden which had a koi pond and a gazebo. It was even used to grow fresh vegetables. “This is so amazing,” Alexa said as she looked at the menu.

“How’s your work going?” Michelle asked.

Alexa grinned. “It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed. I’ve met high end people. And I’m working on a new AI technology to help single parents take care of their babies. It does things like alert them when their baby needs a change or set reminders for shows, and so on.”

“Oh?” Michelle said. “And does it work on all babies?”

Alexa blushed. “Uh… well… I think once we have a prototype I might volunteer as a test subject. Is that weird?”

Michelle kissed Alexa and said. “It sounds like a perfect job for you.”

Alexa nibbled her bottom lip and then frowned.

“Hey, Lexi. What’s going on?” Michelle asked.

“I just keep thinking… I mean… I had an idea but… I’m not sure if it would be a good idea or if it would ruin everything. And I’m scared…” Alexa said.

“What’s your idea?” Michelle asked.

Alexa twiddled her thumbs. “Going public,” Alexa whispered. “About my diapers… I’ve always hid them… but… what if… I mean then I don’t have to worry about someone finding out later… but then… I… I could end up ruining my own life.”

Michelle nodded and smiled. “That would be so brave of you, Alexa. I understand why it’s scary too. I mean we saw how some people react to the concept of adults who need diapers,” Michelle said. “But maybe there’s room for acceptance for some people.”

Alexa thought a bit more. “Do you remember our high school years?” Alexa asked.

Michelle nodded. “Yeah…” Michelle said. “I do.”

“I was a different person back then,” Alexa said and looked down. “I regret a lot of what I did. You know with Isabel and Charlotte. I was projecting my own fears onto them. But what if they knew the truth? Would they shame me? Bully me? Or accept me for who I am?”

Michelle nodded. “I understand. All those fears. They’re normal to have.”

Alexa nodded. “And what about you?” Alexa asked. “Would you be okay if… if I exposed my truth to the world?”

“Lexi, of course. I would be there to support you no matter what,” Michelle said.

Alexa nodded and hugged Michelle. “Thank you.”

Michelle and Alexa ordered their food and continued to talk. Alexa felt so calm. “I love you,” Alexa whispered.

“I love you too, Lexi,” Michelle said.

The two ate their meals and Michelle finally stood up. “Where are you going?” Alexa asked.

“Come on,” Michelle said as she grabbed Alexa’s hand and pulled her towards the garden entrance.

“Michelle…” Alexa said as they wandered to the gazebo.
