Chapter 3
by Fujamora
In a galaxy, on a planet, in a country ,was a girl, who looked to the heavens and dreamed.
Mia was star gazing
I loved the stars, I always have From the first moment she saw them when I was young, I loved them.
They were always a constant in my life, even if the world changed around me, I could always count that the stars would be there for me.
And as Mia laid on the flat rock in the forest near her house and stared at the sky, a star twinkled in her eye,
and disappeared.
I blinked but the star did not return, I propped myself up and stared at the spot the star had been but it did not shine, I knew that stars burned out, but never thought I would see it happen in my lifetime. And that star was a particular favorite of mine. one of the lone stars in the sky that was disconnected from all the major constellations. it always shined a beautiful blue that matched my hair, and I'm sad that it's gone, but I'm great-full I got to see it shine for the last time.
Mia felt a buzz in her pocket and pulled out her phone, it was a text from her mother
[Dinners ready, come inside before it gets cold]
I quickly gathered up my belongings and headed for the forest entrance.
