Memory Anchor

The Memory Anchor is a Purple Crystal that upon activation, takes and stores the desired knowledge of the individual wielding it, this stored information can then be passed on by the next person to activate it, allowing for one to easily bequeath Knowledge to another, depending of course on the Grade of Memory Anchor Used. Memory Anchors are well protected by the Empire, since their stores contain hundreds of years worth of collected knowledge, to subjugate such a thing could prove crippling to the Immortal Empress' regime. The Memory Anchor is a Violet stone, very light and extremely fragile, requiring a great amount of care in handling since a simple firm grip can shatter it.

3rd Grade Memory Anchors are simple enough, allowing for a single charge of short and simplistic memory, giving one the ability to pass on the Memory of a day, the ability to curl one's tongue perhaps, or maybe a week's worth of weapons training, or battle experience? These Stones even in their weakest and difficult to use state, are invaluable.

2nd Grade Memory Stones are severely more useful, allowing for a very large charge of memories and knowledge, giving one the ability to store Months and/or Years of intel for another to absorb, within minutes a person can become adept at a subject, making the second Grade of this Crystal even more treasured than the 3rd.

Only Two 1st Grade Memory Crystals have ever been discovered, one belonging to Lady Brutus and the second belonging to the Immortal Empress herself. These Crystals are almost mythical in their ability, whispers ring among the Lowborn, but all are simple guesswork, the truth of the matter is that the 1st Grade Memory stones are banks, filled with several hundred years of knowledge, allowing One to gain abilities, years in practice and experienced, becoming a Master in duelling, firearms, languages and a host of other abilities all within a simple activation of the stone, however, these stones do have drawbacks, for example, a person could not carry more than one specific kind of Memory or intelligence, once stored, it must be build upon in one stack, therefore, if a user were to bequeath a full knowledge of a language, that knowledge would be drained completely and the knowledge would have to be built again from scratch.
