Chapter 294 by Leoblade24 Leoblade24

What's next?

Meeting Nana..I mean 'Big Sister' Daisy

“Grandbaby!” Daisy cheered as she hugged Jessica tightly. She had Jessica in her lap while Jessica gave a suffering look. You smirked a little as someone else suffered one of your mom’s hugs. You drank some of your cola that an Inkling maid had helpfully offered the group.

“Okay, mom, I think you might be overdoing it,” you admonished once Jessica started giving Mariner puppy eyes. Daisy looked down and realized Jessica’s posture loosened her grip.

“I don’t know what came over me, I’m sorry.” Jessica gave your mom a little glare that nearly had Daisy squeak from the cuteness. “I just never expected to meet a grandchild of mine so soon, especially one so grown. We were expecting that it would still be a little more time,” Daisy said as she reached over and patted your dad’s arm. He was seated on a plush chair right next to the couch Daisy, Jessica, and Pixel were seated on.

“It’s okay I guess, Nana Daisy,” she shrugged while your mom let out a little noise at the nickname.

“Oh, I think I might be a little too young to be called a Nana, how about Big Sister Daisy instead?” Jessica made a face at that, her nose scrunched up.

“But you’re not my sister, you’re my new grandma,” Jessica pointed out, glancing at you and Mariner. “Plus, I already named you Nana, no take backs.”

“Oh fine,” you mom pouted. “One day I will get a little one to call me Big Sister.” You let out a sigh and rolled your eyes at your mom’s antics. Ever since a Klee from Genshin Impact called her Big Sister Daisy, she’s been trying to get other kids to call her the same. Your mom gave you a pointed smile.

“Maybe Aelita’s or –”

“Jessica inherited our plant abilities,” you commented, hoping to change the topic before Jessica learned about your future kids. You weren’t sure about how she would react about Aelita and Starfire.

“Really?” Daisy blinked and looked at Jessica with curiosity. “I didn’t think there was enough Nintendoian magic in this universe.”

“Yeah! Let me show you!” Jessica wiggled out of Daisy’s arms and jumped to the floor and quickly walked over to a carpeted section of the sitting room. She waved her hand to the ground and some of the flower bracelets released seeds into the carpet. “And now dance!”

You blinked in surprise as flowers quickly sprouted and started moving on their own without being species that could move and dance naturally. Dandelions, roses, and daisies waved their petals and shook their stems. “You have more control than I had at your age.”

Jessica looked at you with a frown pausing in her dance before resuming, “Really? But it's so easy?”

“It comes more naturally to some,” your mom brightly smiles as she eagerly clapped at the little performance.

“Grand finale!” Jessica suddenly says as the flowers suddenly grew very shiny with sparkles appearing. Mariner startles you by jumping to her feet.

“Jessica! Don’t!” But it was too late. Jessica struck a proud pose before the flowers shot a rainbow beam.

“Eeep!” Your mom had to duck as the beam passed above her head and blew a hole in the wall.

“Now that’s something,” your dad snorted as a few fearful Toads and Inklings poked their heads in the hole.

“Jessica, remember not to point that beam at people,” Mariner mildly scolded, looking a little surprised at her own words.

“But they were supposed to make a rainbow backdrop!” Daisy looked at the hole in the wall before looking back at Jessica. You could see her pearly teeth for a second before she suddenly tackled Jessica.

“Yes! Finally someone inherited the rainbow burst!” Your mom cheered as she spun around with Jessica in her arms. When she finally calmed down, she set Jessica back down on the floor. Jessica walked about on unsteady legs as her eyes rolled around like a ball in a pinball machine. Your mom continued to speak as she steadied your daughter. “I have a few books on how to control the rainbows so that they are harmless yet solid and all sorts of things.”

“Really?” Jessica asked in surprise.

“Yeah really?” Mariner asked with a frown. “My dad and I used our connections to ask a few people whose species have some kind of energy projection for help before and nothing helped.” Your mom and Jessica took their seats again at this point.

“Oh it's probably because–” “Hey what happened to this wall man?” Your mom glared at the hole, annoyed at the interruption, with even Jessica and Pixel (who popped in during the flower dance) joining in. Standing in the door was your half-brother Gavin. With a grimace, you noticed several more of your siblings peaking their heads around the edge of the hole.

“Hey! No one told us you were here! And is that our niece!?” You could see from your angle that Jessica’s eyes widened at the eager crowd before she turned to you.

“Are they my uncles and aunties? I have uncles and aunts now?!”
