Meeting Cecilia

After knocking on the door, you spend a few nervous seconds waiting for Adela to appear. Instead, you're met by another woman. Although she's a fair bit taller, her blue eyes, pale skin and her pixie-cut hair that's the same shade of red betray the fact that she is Adela's sister Cecilia. She extends her tattoo-covered right arm to shake with you.

"Ah. You must be Oscar?"

"Cecilia, right?"

"Yeah. Come on in."

You find Adela in her kitchen, preparing tonight's meal."

"Hey babe." You say.

"Hey Oscar."

You give Adela a quick kiss on the cheek, before saying "Smells delicious."

"Hopefully."

"Well, so far I haven't had any complaints."

"Very diplomatic. I like this one sis." Cecilia interjects, making Adela giggle.

"Need any help?"

"I'm right." Adela states.

"Okay."

After a shrug, you sit down at the dining table with Cecilia, who says "So I hear you work IT?"

"Yeah, my Dad owns Sharpton Supplies."

"Oh cool. Reckon you'll own the company one day?"

"Eh maybe. It's a lotta work."

"That's true."

"And you're a teacher, right?"

"Yeah. Primary school ki-."

"Little monkeys." Adela interrupts.

Cecilia rolls her eyes as you smile. You then ask "You like working with kids?"

"Yeah, it's a lot of fun. Challenging at times, but fun."

"Fair enough."

"So the principal's okay with the tattoos?"

"Yeah. I mean there's nothing offensive or anything, and the kids love them."

"Cool." You glance at her arm. "So does it have a theme?"

"Well, it's done in a Japanese style, and it's mostly animals."

"So you're an animal lover as well?"

"Yeah."

That's when Adela comes over to the table with two bowls of food. "Didn't you do the design too?"

"Well some of it."

"So you're bit of an artist too." Adela puts a bowl of curry in front of you, so you thank her.

"Yeah. In fact tomorrow we're going to a gallery near my place. I just got a piece put in there."

"Oh, congratulations."

"Thanks."

The three of you proceed to eat dinner. After the meal, you listen to Adela and Cecilia discuss their day together. Eventually, the conversation leans into what they will do tomorrow, and you manage to convince them to include you in their plans. With the plans set in motion, you head back to your apartment happy that Cecilia seems to have accepted you, and eager to spend more time with Adela.
