Some Oddities

Your ringing phone awakes you from your sleep, so you rush to answer it.

"Adela?"

"Good guess. We'll be at your place in half an hour."

"Alright. I'll get ready."

"You mean you're not out of bed?"

"Nope."

"Well you better hurry up."

"I'm on it."

You head to the bathroom and take a quick shower. Once you're clean, you get dressed in your favorite pop-culture shirt and the nearest pair of pants you can find. Next, you slam down some toast and a coffee that slaps you out of your drowsiness. Soon enough, Adela knocks on your door, and you answer it, finding the two sisters waiting for you.

"Ready?" Cecilia asks.

"Yep."

"Shit. I bet ten on you not being ready."

"I, however, had faith in my boyfriend." Adela states

A smile lights up your face. "Good for me."

"That and if I had lost I'd make you pay me back, seeing as it would be your fault."

The two sisters giggle at your expense, before leading you to Cecilia's car. About half an hour later, you find yourself inside Oddities Gallery. The three of you move around, appreciating the various pictures and Cecilia's explanation of how they were executed. Near the end of your tour, you are met by a portrait of a woman's face, that is black and white, except for her eyes, that are both a radical mixture of bright greens and blues.

"And here is the true masterpiece." Cecilia jests.

"Wow. How long did that take you?" You ask.

"Eh, about a month on and off." Cecilia then looks to Adela. "What do you think sis?"

"I like it. The eyes are kinda trippy."

"Well that's what I was going for."

"So was that just for the hell of it, or is it some sort of metaphor?" You ask.

"For the hell of it. Wanted to experiment." Cecilia shrugs.

Now done with the Gallery, you head out to a nearby cafe, where you make sure to chip in for lunch. After the meal, Cecilia drops the two of you off at Adela's apartment. The two sisters share a hug before Cecilia says "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you Oscar."

"Yeah, you too Cecilia. See you soon."

"Bye."

Once Cecilia drives off, you turn to Adela.

"Well well well Pet, looks like we have the rest of the day to ourselves."

"We sure do, my Queen."
