Meet up with Mark (by Vanilla Thunder)

Jamie was relieved it wasn't anything more serious and texted Linda that he was walking to the pharmacy, which was a few blocks down. He went in and picked up the prescription, leaving with a few bottles of pills that he put into his purse. As he exited, he heard a car horn honk. He looked up to see Mark's car sitting at the curb.

"Need a lift?" Mark asked.

"How'd you know I'd be here?" Jamie asked as he climbed into the car.

"I swung by Linda's, but she told me you had gone to the doctor's and then the pharmacy, so I figured I'd swing by and see what you were up to." Mark replied as he started driving.

"That's nice of you." Jamie said.

"Just about time for brunch, do you want to go get something to eat?" Mark asked.

Jamie's stomach rumbled. He probably should get some food in him today. He hasn't had anything since last night's dinner.

"Oh, I couldn't impose. Two meals in two days." Jamie refused.

"Come on, you had a rough night, just got out of a doctor's appointment. My treat, and I won't take no for an answer." Mark stated.

"Can't argue with that logic." Jamie giggled.

Soon they were at a diner, eating, laughing, as Mark recounted a story about a former roommate and a coconut, and Jamie was even having a mimosa. Mark had recommended it, and it felt good to have an excuse to day drink after the night and morning he had.
