Meet Crystal

A few days later, it was time for the dinner you had planned with Crystal, in the hopes of selflessly meeting Lily's request to not be the only Asian girl.

She described the restaurant she had selected as "like the food from my home town." It was just as well she was there, since you found the menu was a completely mystery. Lily looked as confused as you. Luckily Crystal took charge of the order, and the waitresses seemed to approve.

Over an excellent meal, some suggestions landed very easily. There was very little pain for "I think it would be nice for you to come back to our place... If you haven't had a boyfriend here, I think it would be good for you to get some experience with a local guy like me."

You were sure everything was going well. "I think it would be great for you to come back to our place so we can have some fun together," caused nothing worse than an ice cream induced brain freeze.

Then you were completely caught off guard when "I think it would be a lot more fun if Lily joined us" made you almost vomit. You clutched your chopsticks and nearly reversed the entire meal back onto the table. You fought for consciousness as the pain slowly passed.

When your managed to focus, you saw Lily looking at you with alarm. You managed to quietly mutter, "it's okay."

With confusion, Crystal weakly agreed, "I guess she could watch."

The rest of the food was just as good as the start of the meal, and you were happy to buy Crystal a bubble tea as you walked her home.

As you went on your way with Lily, she summarized a little sadly, "you could have had fun with her though."

You stopped, put your hands around Lily's waist and pulled her body against yours, "there's nothing more fun than being with you." She relaxed a little and giggled. You added, "sorry I couldn't make that work, but there it was going to take ages to get her to fit in."

"It's okay."

"How about tomorrow we spend some time on campus? Maybe there's a pub or something where the girls aren't so uptight"

Lily seemed intrigued, "oh, good idea."
