Chapter 4
by Duskford
Go to Bella and Luke's? Does something happen on the way?
Meanwhile, there are other newcomers at Emerald Lane
A couple of blocks away from The Adams household, another family had just moved to Emerald Lane that week, the Winters. An 19-year-old young man stared at his new room’s ceiling, green eyes occasionally blinking as he sighed for the umpteenth time that morning. He couldn’t blame his parents for wanting a safer environment for him and his sister, but he also did not see the need to move to this boring closed neighborhood. During the three days they had lived in there, all he saw was an exaggeratedly quiet place, and Josh was already beginning to dread starting his senior year at Emerald Lane High School the following day.
He ran a hand through his short light brown hair as the noise from some people laughing and chatting at the house next door started reaching his room. Apparently, the couple that lived in there would be throwing some kind of party at lunchtime, and his parents had been invited. They tried roping his sister and him into going, but neither of them felt like it, figuring it was a gathering for older people.
The sound of the doorknob turning snapped Josh out of his thoughts, and the door opened to reveal his mother, Claire Winter. The 38-year-old woman smiled warmly and entered the room, slightly wavy blonde hair falling down her shoulders as her green eyes fixed on her son. She was wearing a conservative white sundress that hugged her curves in all the right places, especially the C-cup breasts on her chest and the round ass behind her. Oblivious to it, Josh gave her a small smile.
“So, are you and dad going now?”
“Yep,” Claire nodded. “Sure you don’t want to go? We can wait for you to get ready if you want, honey.”
Josh shook his head negatively. “Nah, not really my thing, Mom.”
The blonde woman grinned and raised an eyebrow. “You might even meet a few kids your age there.”
Josh chuckled. “I doubt it. Maybe next time, today I’ll stay here and hang out with Diane,” he told his mother. “Enjoy the last few hours of our Summer, you know?”
“Your choice,” Claire smiled again. “Hey, I’ve already said this to your sister, but perhaps the two of you can go out a bit, check out the neighborhood. If you’re going to enjoy the rest of your Summer, at least do it outside, sweetie.”
“Okay, Mom, I’ll think about it,” he replied as his mother retreated to the door. “Have fun!”
“Thank you, son, you too,” Claire replied before closing the door and leaving Josh to contemplate what to do with the rest of his day.
What does Josh do now? Or, let's go back to Duke and Sarah?
