Before Cynthia could speak, a car full of girls pulled up in front. Cynthia recognized Gertrude as one of the popular girls in school along with her friends. They stepped out of the car and giggled as Gertrude smiled. “Oh looook. It looks like Cindy had some bedtime troubles. Look at that she soaked the sheets.”
Margaret said. “Yes, Cindy unfortunately couldn’t make it and just when she made it out of diapers.”
Cynthia’s eyes widened as the girls erupted with laughter at the mention of diapers. “I told you girls. Cindy is nothing but a big baby. She probably wet her pants in school and tried to hide it.”
“What? Did you wet your pants at school, Cynthia?” Margaret asked as she turned to Cynthia.
Cynthia shook her head rapidly but Gertrude smiled. “Oh yeah, isn’t that why the nurse escorted you out of class? I could have sworn I saw her close the door when you went inside. And she never closes her door unless it’s to give a student privacy. And well, if you just needed a band aid you wouldn’t need privacy, right?”
Margaret turned to Cynthia. “You told me that your accidents were only at night.”
Cynthia gulped. “I…”
“That’s it. I’ve had it with these lies. Things are going to change right now, young lady,” Margaret said.
Cynthia gulped wondering what Margaret was going to do.
