Mayuri adds Candace to the hive mind

“I don’t see your point,” he replied coldly.

“Sure you don’t,” Mayuri replied, clicking his tongue impatiently. “Ultimately, this body I am controlling right now is of an enemy’s. And though there are many ways to control an enemy – I can say this method is not the most perfect one. She can fight and regain control of her body, not a very usual case, but it could happen. Now – what would happen if we make her bear a quincy offspring with you? Surely, that could produce a quincy army, and it could be a boost to our fighting strength! Besides… don’t you want to continue your bloodline? If you don’t mate and produce an offspring with her, then surely you will be the last generation of quincy!” Mayuri ended his speech with another one of his maniacal laugh, while Ishida remained silent.

His last point had actually created a pang at Ishida’s heart. The continuation of his race had always been a topic that weighed on his mind. If he could – of course he didn’t want quincies to be extinct, but to do it in this manner, with an enemy? He didn’t feel that it was right.

“I refuse,” he said finally, his voice quivering. “I don’t… I don’t want to do this.”

“Oh,” said Mayuri, observing him in silent. His expression had suddenly turned very sour. “Well then, I guess – there was no use forcing you to. I can always use another method. Hey, you!” he snapped his fingers, and the **** blonde-haired girl that was strapped to a chair beside Ishida gradually opened her eyes. “Wake up. It’s time for another experiment.”

It took a while for Candace to fully process her surroundings, but as soon as she saw Mayuri in Bambietta’s body standing beside him, she began to wrestle her way out of the restraints.

“Captain!” she called to Bambietta, who ignored her call and instead went over to a table to grab ray gun. “Captain! What did they do to you?”

With a swift move, Mayuri shot himself with the ray gun, producing a white, round candy that he held carefully at his fingertips. Then, he slowly walked toward Candace, who was still trying to fight her way out of the restraints, eyeing Mayuri with deep hatred and disgust.

“You fucking Shinigami!” she screamed in anger and anguish. “Let go of my captain! You don’t deserve to desecrate her sacred body!”

“Yeah yeah,” said Mayuri, swiftly forcing Candace to open her mouth and made her swallow the pill. She still had the time to send him another hateful glare before her head fell to her shoulder and she went limp. Feeling alerted, Ishida shouted to Mayuri, “What did you do to her?” but Mayuri only sneered. “You might want to worry about yourself, Quincy,” he said. “After all – you’re going to end up doing my experiment… whether you like it or not.”

Slowly, Candace opened her eyes. Only, Ishida realized with a dawn of horror – that she really looked different from her former self. When she previously looked full of anger and hatred, now she looked calm and impassive. And her eyes – they weren’t really her eyes. She looked different – she was menacing, calculating, she looked… evil. Ishida looked at Candace’s face closely, then slowly understood what was going on. That manner… that evil expression… there was only one explanation.

“You – did you just… transferred your soul to her?” Ishida asked with a mixture of surprise and disgust. “Did you split your soul to take control of yet another body?”

“You sure are sharp,” Mayuri – in Bambietta’s body – let out a cackle of laughter. “Now I see why I lost to you previously! Ah, you truly are someone worth being my enemy. But let’s not talk about that now,” said Mayuri. “You only have two options, Quincy. Either you mate with these women out of your own free will, or you can choose to have a copy of soul inserted into your body, to make you obey me. As you can see from her,” Mayuri waved to Candace, who was standing beside him now, free of restraints. “I can do whatever I want with the body I possess.”
