May stakes her claim

All of a sudden May felt like she couldn’t see straight. She wanted to blame the weed, but the uneasy feeling in her stomach said otherwise. Amelia’s laughter echoed in her ears, but she wasn’t listening anymore. The sight of Elliott flirting with her had lit a spark inside her. She turned her body toward him, taking a step closer, locking eyes. “You know,” she said, her voice lower than before. “We didn’t come here so you could flirt with my friend. I’m the one you fucked, remember?”

Elliott’s brow quirked. “Oh, I remember,” he said smoothly.

Amelia, sensing the shift, took another drag from the joint and leaned back to watch the exchange.

May closed the distance and touched Elliott on the arm. “It wasn’t just great. I know this sounds fake, but it was better than I’ve ever had,” she said, her voice sultry. Her hand slid down to his wrist, her touch lingering just enough to leave no question about her intentions.

“Is that right?” he asked. His tone was casual but his body language betrayed his interest.

“Mm-hmm,” May murmured, stepping even closer, her chest almost brushing against his. “I didn’t know I could still feel like that.” She knew she was pushing it, knew Amelia was watching, but she couldn’t stop. She didn’t want to stop. Jealousy surged through her, and the only way she could think to quiet it was by making sure Elliott remembered exactly why she had come.

Elliott’s hand drifted to her waist. “Seems like you’re not quite done with me,” he said.

May smiled, feeling a rush of satisfaction. “Not yet.”

His fingers tightened on her waist to pull her closer and remind her of his strength. “Seems like we’ve got a bit of an audience,” he said, glancing over at Amelia.

May tilted her head up.Her lips were just inches from his. “I don’t mind if she sees,” she said.

Elliott grinned. “You sure?”
