May is understanding

May stared down at the lap.

"So you were trying to get away from the mess that was your life and ended up creating something new that you could call your own?" May inquired and Carol nodded. Put that way, it did sound kind of silly. Yet, that was the truth of the matter.

"That sums it up nicely, my granddaughter." Carol cooed and watched May's face go red. Looking away for just a moment, she reached out to her grandmother's hand. "Now that I've rained on your parade. what's next for you?"

May **** her gaze back over to Carol.

"I'll probably hit up Unova's Pokemon Musical scene." May answered as she stood up. Getting a nod from Carol, that was her cue to get up from the couch.

Giving Carol a wave, Carol waved back. Then it was time to grab the remote and put on one of her favorite shows. Funny how that all worked out here. A shame her daughter didn't stay for breakfast. That would've been nice, but could be looked past here.
