Max tries to talk her way out.

Max shuddered with disgust watching the two police officers eyes wander down her body. For once she wished she would run into just one cop that would jump at the opportunity to try to use their position of power to get into her pants.

Max pointed over in the opposite direction that Joshua had ran. "There was this wild dog in the alley. He took off barking that away.?"

Neither cop bothered to take their eyes of her breasts. Max sighed, rolled her eyes and lifted her pant leg. "He bit me," she lied, the scratches were there, from god knows what. "I think it might have had rabies or something, you think I should go to a hospital?"

It was the cops turn to reel in disgust, one of them literally taking a half step back. Whatever ideas of having a little fun with the damsel in distress crushed.

"Yeah, you should." The cop began, pointing his flash light down the alley. "Get yourself to a doctor, we'll find the dog." Before wandering off to search for a dog that didn't exist.

That was easy, Max thought to herself, and looked up at the night sky. Finding Joshua was going to be nearly impossible, she needed help. Logan always knew what to do, making up her mind she headed towards his penthouse.
