Chapter 4 by AgentIris AgentIris

The Halloween Party

Masks are obligatory

The party was happening in a hip club downtown. Valerie couldn't help but be impressed at the amount of people waiting, and wondered if they would be able to get in at all. Iris, though, didn't seem worried. She waved at someone in the distance.

"I know Steven," she explained to Valerie. "He'll get us in, don't worry."

Indeed, the man - one of the bouncers - arrived and hugged Iris. After a bit of light conversation, he gestured the girls to follow him. He led them to a back entrance, where some other club employees were having a cigarette break. He was about to let them in when one of the other men stopped them.

"Steven, the girls aren't wearing masks. You know the deal tonight - masks are obligatory." he reminded him.

"Shit, you're right. Girls, do you happen to have masks?" asked Steven.

To Valerie's surprise, Iris reached into her purse and pulled out a red masquerade mask and put it on. She didn't expect Iris to be someone who would carry a mask around like that, but considering how she practically lived in bondage gear, maybe it was her fault for not expecting it. She, however, had absolutely nothing else on her except the bandage that was her outfit.

"Um, can you make an exception-" Iris began to plead, but Valerie had an idea.

Valerie loosened the upper end of the bandage near her chest and wrapped it over her face, from her jaw till her nose. She felt the restraints around her chest become looser, and she could tell from the stares that the bandages were covering a lot less now. Steven's eyes had practically popped out of their sockets.

"There you go," she said. "I have my mask now."

Steven and the other employee looked at each other and shrugged, before letting the girls in.

The club was full of bodies dancing to heavy electronic beats. Everyone was indeed masked, and outfits ranged from the ordinary to the amazingly elaborate. Iris grabbed Valerie's hand and made a beeline to the bar, where they had a few shots. After they started to feel tipsy, the girls headed to the dance floor and began to gyrate to the music.

Valerie felt happy and relieved, for she was able to let loose and forget her worries in the music. Sure, the two of them were attracting attention with their barely-there outfits, but she didn't care. All that mattered was that she was having fun with her friend, and in this moment, that was enough.

She lost track of time until suddenly, the music stopped and the lights went out.
