Mary, Park Ranger

Mary Xu, daughter of Chinese immigrants, was proud of her heritage. Being the only Chinese family in town will do that to some people. It also helped her feel taller than her 5' body allowed. With her gymnast body she was often regarded as smaller both physically and existentially. Maybe that's why she became a park ranger. Not only does she avoid most people, those who come out here feel so small with the enormous trees and breathtaking mountains. Coilling her shoulder length hair into a tight pony tail and donning her wide brim rangers hat she sets out from the station just next to the public parking lot.
