Mark wakes up with Maple gone

Mark slept like a baby that night, he didn’t wake up once all night despite all the commotion.

Waking up in the morning, Mark felt like his head on was on fire. The hangover was kicking in immediately.

Maple was already gone, but Eliza was there studying but had set some medicine and water on the end table for him.

“You’re awake, how you feeling?” she said noticing Mark was sitting up in his bed.

“Not great, not great at all. I think I need to go get some Panadol or something.” Eliza pointed to the table and said "it's right there silly."

Mark grabbed it and thanked her. "What happened last night...did we..."

Eliza giggled "a lady never tells, but nothing you need to worry about" She began to pack her books and added "Can you get dressed, I need to get going to meet some friends for breakfast."

Sensing that the conversation was over, Mark got dressed and left with only his memory of the karaoke bar.
