Mark offers to take Jamie home

“Oh, wow. I didn't even realize how late it has gotten. Time flies,” Mark laughed.

“I guess it does,” Jamie beamed.

“Would you like a ride home?” Mark asked.

“That would be great, thank you,” Jamie giggled.

Jamie took Marks hand, partly out of a new habit he had built as well as for the balance. They walked a while longer together, talking and laughing all the way to Marks car.

“Nice car,” Jamie said, which made Mark grin.

Jamie didn't know cars all that well but was impressed all the same. Mark opened Jamie's door, which was a little strange but Jamie payed it no mind and just got in. It was then that Jamie recalled what he was wearing as he tried to sit down.

“How did I forget I was wearing a dress?” he thought, running his hands down the back, smoothing the fabric as he sat.

Mark got in to the driver seat and they were soon off, again hand in hand. Jamie gave directions to his place, which Mark made sure to save in his phone.

“So, any idea's of what you would like to do next time?” Mark asked.

“Well, we could see that movie we were talking about. After that, we could get drinks and talk about it,” Jamie suggested.

“That sounds fun,” Mark approved.

“If you get a different idea, just let me know. I'm flexible,” Jamie told him.

Jamie decided that he was going to hold onto the woman's phone for now, since he didn't get his back. He wasn't super sure if Mark was going to end up meeting her, either, so there wasn't much point at passing it off to Mark.

“It had been hell of a day, but at least the worst of it was over,” Jamie thought to himself.
