Mark’s Dorm Room

After having his dinner, Mark spent the next hour twiddling his thumbs and pacing around the room as he waited for a response from Jacinta.

He didn’t really know why he was so nervous about this. But the longer she was making him wait, the more he started to panic that Jacinta wouldn’t end up texting him.

It didn’t help that his roommate Dale was yelling at his computer screen in anger due to a call of duty game gone wrong. Mark was very close to turning the game off on him but he didn’t want to completely ruin his daily life here by doing that.

“What are you pacing around for?” Dale asked him when finally taking a small break from his games.

“Nothing. I’m just waiting for something,” he told him, “Can’t you find something else to do? Surely you’ve got better things on a Friday Night to get up to.”

Dale looked at him weirdly as if what he had just said to him was a ridiculous statement.

Mark went back to ignoring him, getting back on his bed. A few minutes later, his phone finally buzzed from his pocket. Quickly pulling it back out, he checked to see a message from an unknown number.

‘Room 31 in South Wing if you’re still interested.’

A second text from the same number followed moments later.

‘It’s Jacinta btw.’

Mark got off his bed immediately, grabbing the rest of his books and laptop, heading straight for South Wing.
