Chapter 37 by SG SG

Where to?

Mark's place.

Mark grimaced as he let the two women into his studio apartment. There was laundry all over the floor and dishes piled high in the sink. He hadn't been expecting company, but he hadn't expected to turn into a woman and blow a **** dealer either. Jen didn't seem to mind the state of the place, though, and Lily simply looked around with an expression of mild bemusement.

"Um, can I get either of you anything to drink?" Mark offered lamely. Now that they were here he suddenly felt strangely awkward. Everything with Grink was dreamlike and surreal; bringing Lily and Jen to his home made everything seem more concrete and real.

Jen laughed. "Did you just ask Lily if she wants a drink? Come on, man." She turned to the woman, who was still smiling pleasantly. "Lily, tell us if you're thirsty."

Lily shrugged. "A little, I guess."

"Great. Go get yourself a glass of water from the kitchen and drink it. Oh, and stop drinking when you're no longer thirsty."

As Lily dutifully followed her instructions, Mark groaned. "Are we always gonna have to be that literal with her?"

Jen shrugged. "I don't know, man. Maybe there's something in the stash that'll fix her. Until we figure that out, it can't hurt. I don't want her in there giving herself hyponatremia because of a poorly-worded command."

"God, what a mess..." Mark muttered. "Speaking of which, I could use a shower. Do you mind if I go clean up quick?"

Jen chuckled. "Apparently my ideal man isn't very creative. Dude, you've got two incredibly hot women in your apartment, one of whom is molded perfectly to your ideal and the other of whom can become anyone or anything instantly and you want to shower alone?"

Mark blushed. "I don't know, I didn't really... I guess it didn't occur to me."

Lily walked in as he spoke, looking disinterestedly at the duo. Jen put an arm around her shoulders and leaned in conspiratorially. "You know, Lily, Mark was about to take a shower and he wasn't even going to invite you."

Lily rolled her eyes. "Rude."

Jen grinned. "See? Even Pinocchio thinks it should be a group effort."

"I don't think there's room for the three of us in the shower," Mark objected.

"Even better!" Jen said. "I've got something I want to try."

What's Jen's idea?
