Margin says: "Whispering winds..."

Finding a page with a pair of lips followed by what looks like a gust of wind, you pause. The margin simply says "Whispering winds..." Maybe this will let you communicate with James. You quickly read the incantation. As you read it, you notice your words becoming softer and softer, until you can barely hear them yourself. As you finish the spell, you feel a breeze blow past you, sending a shiver up your spine.

You think of James and speak his name -- or at least, try to. No sound escapes your lips. Shocked, you try to speak louder, but still no sound is made. You try to scream, but nothing escapes your lips.

That is when you notice James picking up his pace. You stand up to protest, and notice that you don't hear your feet hit the ground. Not even the floorboards beneath you -- which are usually very squeaky -- are making any noise at all. You slap your desk, testing to see if you can make any noise at all. Nothing.

James' pace is now feverish, and you can tell you have very little time to react.
