Margarita

Maria was very flustered and wanted to apologise for her mistake, but just then they both noticed that Margarita was standing by the entrance to the pantry. She looked at them with her eyes wide open. Maria was worried that she had seen a lot of the groping she had taken, but to her surprise and to Oz’s relief, she only said:

“El caballero” and seemed slightly taken aback by the heroic, knightly deed Oz had done by saving her mother from falling down the small ladder.

At this point Oz had no other choice but to put Maria down and get on the ladder himself to grab the paprika. He gave it to Maria, who thanked him while Margarita was in a daze looking at the scene unfold. She then tugged at Oz’s arm and dragged him back out to the yard. Maria was able to go back to her cooking duties, but first she adjusted her dress which was still curled up above her hips.

The girl did not notice, or did not consider the dress of her mother being bunched up above her hips to be important when she told her father what she had witnessed in the pantry. Oz fully acted out the hero part and had a bit of a nice addition to her story too when they told Juan.

“She lost footing and luckily enough I was also looking for something in the pantry so I immediately grabbed hold of her and managed to stop her from getting harmed.” And the children listened to him in awe, even more so once he flexed his bicep to show off the mighty tools he used to save their mother and Juan’s wife.

Juan was slightly amused at how well the children took the little incident, but was also relieved that she did not hurt herself.

“Thank you again, master Oz.” Juan said, being grateful almost constantly for everything.

“No worries, I’ll gladly save your wife any time.” He said with a slight glint in his eyes.

While the children and Oz were busy telling stories to Juan, and seated around the table in the yard, Maria was almost finished making her fried rice with chicken breast, vegetables and some bacon. She also made a big pot of vegetable soup. Once the food was done she went outside and told everyone that the food was done and that they can come on in. Oz, however, had a different idea:
