“That’s right. I found this hidden with the diapers,” Margaret said. “Come here, sit down.”
Alice squirmed as she sat on the bed next to her stepmother. The door was wide open. “Dear Diary, I had my first accident since I was 9 years old. I woke up and my sheets were soaked. Luckily, my stepmom and stepsister are gone. They don’t know about the accident. I’m hoping that they won’t find out. I’ll wash the sheets tonight to make sure they don’t know.”
Alice squirmed as Margaret flipped a few pages. “I had another accident. I can’t believe I wet my pants again. I’m going to have to buy some diapers. I’m so embarrassed but I can’t risk my stepmom or stepsister finding out about my accidents. Luckily no one is here again and I’ll just change my sheets again.”
Margaret flipped a few more pages just as she was about to read it, they heard the door slam from downstairs. Alice could hear footsteps and squirmed. “M-margaret please, I’m sorry. Please stop reading my diary,” Alice said knowing what was coming up.
Margaret said. “You had your chance to be honest with me.”
Alice gulped as she heard footsteps coming up the stairs. “Margaret please don’t…”
Margaret waited for the footsteps to get closer. “Alice, sit still. I’m going to read your diary and you are going to sit there and listen until I’m ready.”
