Many Gods come for a Book, but stay for the Judgement

A hundred divine avatars appeared at Thoth’s word.

“Welcome Demi-Gods of Earth to my hidden Library of Alexandria,” Thoth said with a bow.

Luke appeared in a small circular auditorium. It didn’t look like a library like Keyleth said. It was more like a mini colosseum.

“Please take a moment to get comfortable. You made sit where ever you like,” Thoth said gesturing to the many seats of different shapes and sizes.

Too nervous to move Luke stood and watched as everyone began to group up.

“Astral Duke Smith, the God of Siring in the flesh. How are you liking my brother’s old job? Are the Sirens treating you well?” a low voice said to Luke’s right.

Luke turned to see a tall grey skinned man in black and red. It was the Greek God of **** and Punishment. Luke gulped as he recognized the oldest and now the default leader of the Greek Pantheon.

“Lord Hades,” Luke said nervously.

“Now now, no reason to get nervous. But … this whole meeting is about you after all,” Hades said grinning.

“Stop that dear. You’re frightening the poor boy,” a female voice said from behind Hade’s tall figure.

Luke watched as Persephone the Goddess of Springtime and Renewal walked out from behind her husband. She wore Green and White. Luke guessed she was middle-aged for a god. Her golden hair had a few streaks of white.

“Sorry to hear that you got dominion of the City of Atlantis but didn't get dominion of the Oceans. The Dragon King of Ao Guang got the promotion,” Persephone said extending her hand.

Luke shook the Goddess’s hand without thinking.

“It’s fine. I have enough work as it is,” Luke said nervously reminded of his many responsibilities.

“Say … is it true, that you knocked up all the Jinn Nobility in the Astral Sea?” Persephone asked leaning in closer.

“Sorry?” Luke asked.

“You know … the reason why you’re a Jinn Binder. My husband says your subclass mutation is from a rare combination of events. But that can’t be true … isn’t it from all your Jinn partners?” Persephone whispered.

Luke reconsidered the question.

“Sorry, I got my binding powers after my union with Queen Celestia … and I only have 10 Jinn mates,” Luke said nervously.

“Ha! I told you the rumors weren’t true,” Hades said happily.

“Everyone knows the mortals get the Jinn-Binder subclass from a soul mutation not from fucking a bunch of Jinn. That’s why Zeus couldn’t become a binder. He already had a ‘Soul-Pool’. A soul can’t mutate once it is holding mana,” Hades said smiling at his wife.

“No hold on, how were there so many binders during the Jinn Wars? That subclass can’t be too hard to get?” Persephone said turning to poke Hades in the chest.

Luke watched as the two mythical figures argued.

“Well regardless,” Persephone said turning back to Luke.

“Next topic. Where is Aphrodite? Her binding with you is the whole reason Athena is on the warpath?” Persephone asked.

“Sorry, she declined Thoth’s invitation. She is a little embarrassed about her new … situation with me,” Luke said diplomatically.

“Come now, that’s just silly. You’re both Gods of Lust. You’re a perfect match for each other’s horny nature. And besides, the Arbiter didn’t take your Binding Powers away. He wanted you to claim Aphrodite. The Lord of All wanted you to control that crazy woman. Can’t you just boss her around with your harem power?” Persephone said hotly.

“Well … she is embarrassed that she isn’t technically pregnant (but still looks pregnant) … and … I try not to boss my women around. Especially when it conflicts with their core feelings,” Luke said trying to ignore all the times he gave in and abused his ‘Soul-Linked’ partners.

“Really? The Goddess of Love isn’t pregnant after getting ‘Soul-Linked’ to the God of Siring?” Hades said with a laugh.

Bong! A loud low bell rang.

“Let’s get started. Please take your seats,” Thoth said before teleporting to the center of the room.

“Come, Luke, you can join us. You’re considered a member of the Greek Pantheon now,” Persephone said turning.

Luke followed, but he couldn’t help but notice everyone staring at him. Ignoring the attention Luke took a seat to the right of Persephone. She smiled before turning her attention to Thoth.

“Gods of the World! I am paying for your time so please focus … please give your avatar in this room your complete attention,” Thoth said raising his voice.

“As I stated in my invite, anyone who attends this meeting will get a free Library Card for one book of their choosing. All books not about future prophecies are available,” Thoth said scanning the crowd.

Luke was reminded of Keyleth’s excitement. She had given him a dozen different suggestions on what book to check out.

“To those of you, who are new to my Library … don’t fear your rivals,” Thoth said glancing between Luke and Dr. Blood.

“While you’re here no Physical or Magical damage can befall you. You have my word,” Thoth said crossing his heart.

“Now, we have a lot of gods present today. So, I extend my personal thanks to the Patheon Leaders again. Many of them agreed to settle heated arguments at this summit,” Thoth gesturing to Ra, Odin, Hades, and the Jade Emperor.

The crowd looked to each of the gods mentioned. Luke clearly saw how each of the Patheon Leaders was surrounded by their core members, save for Hades. The Greek Gods were more spread out.

“To catch everyone up. The Arbiter recently reassigned many dominions of gods neglecting their jobs. A new Demi-God named Luke Smith was given the position of King of Atlantis. The Greek God Poseidon’s old lordship. The Arbiter also named Luke the God of Siring, and blessed him with dominion over women praying to have children,” Thoth said before giving a brief pause.

The room broke out in whispers.

“Everyone knows Freya the Norse God of War and Fertility was originally tasked with answering women’s fertility prayers in the current age. But like Poseidon, she has gone missing,” Thoth said before giving another pause.

The room was silent.

“That being said, Athena the Greek Goddess of War and Wisdom, has formally identified that Luke Smith has broken one of our taboos. The God of Siring has ‘Soul-Linked’ Aphrodite the Greek Goddess of Love and Lust,” Thoth said glancing at Athena sitting alone with Artemis.

With that, two dozen gods started shouting. Most of them were gods not already aware of Luke's actions.

“Silence!” Thoth boomed.

The room was magically silenced.

“I call for judgment on Luke Smith, the God of Siring. How do we react to a man who was a lawful ‘Jinn Binder’ before joining us in Godhood? Luke Smith didn’t know our customs. But now he still holds the power to bind any one of us to his will,” Thoth said before giving another pause.

The room was silent. Everyone was still magically unable to speak.

“So, I ask: Will Luke Smith expand his harem? And if he does should our global community stand by as he continues to expand his power base? Will some of us attempt to kill Luke? And if Luke Smith dies … how will the Arbiter react? The God of Siring was given two important tasks from the Lord of All,” Thoth said before dropping his magical silence.

Luke pushed back into his seat as many Gods began yelling at him from all around the room.
