Mandated Break.

Shepard was barely alive. She wasn't as bad as when Cerberus first got her but she looked awful.

Miranda went to work getting all her implants back online and working with the medics to fix the broken bones and burn marks. Plus the bullet wound. She was working around the clock to get the 'savior' back on her feet.

Jack watched her girlfriend? Fuck she guess she was, work herself bare and not sleep. She tried but Miranda was stubborn. One of the fucking things they had in common.

"Keep me posted if her blood pressure drops." Miranda told the nurse. "Also get me updated reports of her kidneys."

"Yes ma'am." The nurse left them.

"Miri. You need to take a break." Jack said.

"No time. I have to much to do." Miranda sat at the terminal.

Jack didn't say anything else until she came over and grabbed the woman from behind and lifted her out of the chair.

"Jack!" Miranda let out as she was standing.

"I wasn't asking." Jack grabbed her hand. "You need a shower and sleep. You can't fix Shepard if you don't take care of yourself." She pulled them to their shared cabin on the ship. An Alliance ship with the most medical supplies and doctors that had been set up as a mobile hospital.

"Jack I have..."

"Shut up, get naked and in the shower." Jack began pulling off her own clothes.

That did get Miranda to go along with the 'suggestion.' she did as order and they went under the stream of water. They had to be fast with the water do to limits.

That was until Mirand grabbed Jack from behind and ran her hand between her legs.

"Hey. Fuck...you don't have the energy to keep up." Jack argued.

"Try me." Miranda kissed her neck.

Jack wanted to but she could tell Miranda was exhausted. So she turned around her pinned the girl to the wall. "I'm not fucking you when you're not at your best. Rest then we break the bed." she kissed her gently on the lips.

Miranda almost pouted but didn't want Jack to see that so she reluctantly separated from the tattooed girl. They dried off and Jack tossed their towels off to the side before pull her to the bed.

"Bed. Now." Jack pointed.

Miranda laid down, the sheets so comfortable on her bare skin hell even the uncomfortable military mattress felt good. Then she felt Jack wrapped around her from behind.

"Hmm. Usually I'm the big spoon."

"Shut up and go to sleep. After you rest I'm fucking you until you can't stand straight." Jack mumbled as she held Mirana close.

"Promises."
