Marcus groans as he wakes up and looks around, the alarms were blazing and the red lights of the alarms were flashing about showing the ship was on full alert. Marcus quickly hooped out of bed and got dressed before heading out of his room and running down the halls towards the command deck. As Marcus ran the ship shuddered with hits, 'the hits were stronger than they should be, was something wrong with the shields?' Marcus thought to himself as he walked onto the bridge.

"get those haul breaches sealed, and get our god damn shields back up" the captain yells out orders as they frantically try to keep the ship running

"what is going on captain?" Marcus asks as he walks over, the ship shaking violetnly

"we just lost decks 3 through 5" one of the officers yells

"bloody pirates had us jammed when we warped in, our shields wouldn't work and our sensors were down, including the long range communications" the second in command explains to Marcus as the captain barks more orders, but as another shudder ripples through the ship one of the officers looks to the captain "captain... that was the engines, they are rupturing and are going to detonate any minute" they yell out

the captain goes silent for a few moments before looking to the officer "give the abandon ship order, keep all active guns firing to give the escape pods cover" he orders as a new alarm sounds and all the officers set the ship to autopilot as the crew start to head to the escape pods, Marcus is rushed to the pods by the second in command "get in a pod and get out of here kid" he barks as he forces Marcus into the shoot.
