Malamar's assistant

Much like he had with Canari, Malamar formed a link between Mable and himself, so she could hear his words as English in her mind.

"Mable," said Malamar. "I am your Trainer, and you are my assistant. I own you, and you obey. Okay?"

"Yes Trainer Malamar," Mable droned mindlessly.

"Follow me to my lair," Malamar ordered, leading his new **** back to his lair, with Canari following close behind.

Once they arrived at the lair, Malamar got to work to ensure Mable would be the perfect assistant for him.
