Making Plans

At breakfast on Sunday morning, Sophie’s pending arrival was the only topic of conversation, giving an excitable air to the meal. Lucy and Dani were all for putting Sophie through her paces as soon as she arrived with some sort of initiation ceremony but James and Jessica refused to consider anything of the sort, insisting that she be afforded the same time and space to settle in that everyone else had been given. When breakfast was finished Dani drove over to her flat to pick up Sophie while the rest of the group waited for her arrival. James issued no orders to the girls other than to just relax and be normal, although nobody could quite say what normal was. So they reverted to type and set about trying to do their own thing and seem unaffected by the excitement, with varying degrees of success.

James dressed in shorts and a t-shirt and sat in the living room reading the Sunday papers with a coffee. Jessica did her hair and make-up to perfection and dressed herself in nothing but a pair of bright red high heels then cleaned and tidied the already very clean and tidy house. Emily put on yoga pants and a tight sports bra and went to the gym building in the garden for a workout while Lucy sat in the living room with James, scrolling through her phone wearing only the tiniest of G-strings.

When Lucy got up to use the bathroom Jessica took her chance to have a quick word with James.

“Darling,” she said, sitting next to him, “It’s nice that you’ve given the girls some space to do their own thing this morning but um, maybe they’d like some direction as well?”

James lowered the newspaper and looked at her, “I had a few ideas for this morning but Sophie’s joining us has made me rethink my plans.”

“May I know what those plans are?”

“As I said, I’m rethinking them. It depends on Sophie, I don’t want to push her into anything too quickly if she’s not ready, but I also think it would be good to get her, how do did you put it with Emily, bedded in?”

“Yes, bedded in,” said Jessica with a smile.

James nodded, “…bedded in sooner rather than later. I was just wondering if I should do that publicly or in private. I think I’ll just go with the flow and see how things develop once she’s here.”

“That sounds sensible to me.”

“I know what you mean about giving the girls guidance though. Now that the harem is complete I thought some sort of official welcome is in order.”

“Oooh, that sounds like fun, what did you have in mind?”

“I’m not sure, but I think it would be good to gather everyone around and maybe I’ll speak to you all, like some sort of welcome speech or something.”

“Followed by a group sex session?” Jessica said with a big smile.

“That was the general idea.”

“I think it’s a wonderful idea, let me know what you need me to do.”

“When I’ve figured out what I want I’ll let you know,” he said, picking his newspaper up again.

“Also, there’s something else I wanted to ask you. I received an email the other day with an invitation…”

When she pulled up at a set of traffic lights, Dani peered across at Sophie, who aside from some pleasant small talk had been rather quiet on the journey.

“Are you nervous?” she asked.

Sophie smiled awkwardly, “A little bit.”

“James is lovely, you don’t need to worry, he’s very kind and considerate and the other girls are…”

“No, it’s not that, I know he’s nice, and the other girls are too, you wouldn’t be doing this if they weren’t. I’m looking forward to that side of things.”

“Then what’s got you all tangled up?” she said as the lights turned green.

“It’s partly you, and partly my mother.”

“Okay, that’s a response I wasn’t expecting.”

“My visit here wasn’t just to see you, I was going, I mean, I wanted to…”

“Soph, it’s okay, you can tell me, I promise I won’t react badly.”

“You shouldn’t make promises you can’t keep.”

“I suppose I deserved that, but please, tell me why me and your mother are worrying you.”

“You know my mother has been badgering me to settle down and have kids.”

“Yes.”

“And that she’s beside herself with worry about, as she puts it, my wild ways.”

“Yes.”

“Well, I might have told her that I was coming to London to live with you permanently.”

“Why did you tell her that?”

“Because it was true.”

“But you never said anything about it to me?”

“I was going to, I had a plan, but it fell apart at the first hurdle.”

“What was your plan?”

“I was going to make mad, passionate love to you then ask you to be my girlfriend, my one and only forever lover.”

Dani pulled the car over and stopped on a double red line, then undid her seat belt and leaned over and hugged Sophie.

“I’m so, so, sorry,” she said, burying her face in Sophie’s shoulder.

“It’s okay, you weren’t to know. And it’s my fault really, if I’d have been more interested in your life and asked more questions I wouldn’t have been so unprepared.”

“I feel bad, I’m sorry Soph.”

“Don’t be sorry, it’s worked out fine.”

“Do you mean that?”

“Uh-huh. You see, in her desperation for grandchildren, my mother saw my shacking up with you as a step in the right direction. She had visions of us being some sort of lesbian super couple and adopting kids from Romania or somewhere.”

“I’m confused, how does your joining the harem help your mother’s aspirations for grandchildren?”

“It doesn’t, hence my worries about what I’m going to tell her about us. She’s been messaging me asking how things are going with you. Anyway, with the benefit of hindsight, I’m not sure either of us are ready for a full-on lesbian relationship, we both love cock too much. And I’m not done with my wild ways yet, and I don’t think you are either.”

“And you’re sure you're okay with this?”

“I’m positive. Once I’d set aside the idea of being exclusive with you I gave some real thought to joining the harem, and it made sense on so many levels. Meeting James was the final reassurance I needed. This way I get to be close to you, which will tend to my romantic notions, there’s a handsome man in my life, which will please both me and my mother, and it’s a very kinky set-up, which will satisfy my wild urges. Honestly, this has worked out well. I’m just not sure how to tell my mother.”

“Well there’s no rush, we’ll work out what to tell your mother when the time is right. But for now, we can play along with the whole lesbian couple thing. Get your phone out.”

“Why?” said Sophie with a frown as she fished her phone out of her handbag.

Dani took it from her and then put her head on Sophie’s shoulder, smiled as sweetly as she could and took a selfie. She sent it to Sophie’s mother, with the message, ‘So in love’.

Sophie smiled, then kissed Dani, “Thank you, my mother will love that.”

“It’s sort of true though Soph, we do love each other, it’s just that we’re doing things in our own unique way.”

“You’re wonderful, do you know that?”

“Uh-huh, I know,” said Dani with a cheeky wink. “Right, we’d better get going before I get a ticket for parking on a double red line.”

“Yeah, let’s get going, besides anything else I’m rather keen to make my entrance into the harem.”

“Why do I get the feeling you’ve got something planned?”

“Because you know me too well.”

Around ten minutes later they pulled up to the entrance of the gated estate and Sophie asked Dani, “Are we here?”

“Uh-huh, the house is in the middle of the estate, a minute or so up the road.”

“Perfect,” said Sophie.

She undid her seatbelt, which made the car beep at her angrily, then started fussing with the strap on her sundress.

“What are you doing?” Asked Dani with a frown.

“Getting ready for my entrance. I hope the neighbours are open-minded.”
