Chapter 269 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Make your way to the next group.

Farther along, Snow, Delphi, Alice, and Luna are standing in shallow water and speaking amongst one another.

You make your way over, and Luna steps up beside you. "Hello there," says the moth. "I'm glad you decided to come this way. I wanted to thank you for giving me so many canvases to decorate. It was so much fun. It's also advertising, of course! I hope people find my swimsuits gorgeous enough to spice up business back home. Do you like them?"

"I do like them, yeah," you reply.

A smug smile draws across her face. "Mhm. I bet you do. For your own trunks and the towel, let that be my gift in return."

"I figured that was you that put the towel out for me. Thanks for that, Luna."

Her wings flutter. "Anytime. Though I wish I brought some toys. The succubi over there thought to bring a ball, but I'm afraid I brought nothing at all related to that. You're from another world, yes? That's definitely something I've yet to come across, but you have me curious. What do people do on the beach from where you're from?"

"Sunbathe. Play ball. Swim. Also, a lot of different beach games. That game where you hit a watermelon blindfolded... tag... I guess pretty much anything. I've seen people limbo on the beach. It doesn't really matter."

Snow peeks over. "I know what tag is, but what's limbo? That sounds scary."

"If it's scary, we have to play it," Delphi chimes in.

"Nothing scary really," you explain. "You set up a pole and you have to walk underneath it, but the only way you can bend is backwards. So of course it gets really hard the lower the pole is set up. You need to be super flexible, and have strong legs and a sturdy back."

"Ah. I know that game. It isn't called limbo, but elves play it," Snow responds.

Delph turns her gaze between the cat and golem and ponders. "I wonder who's more flexible... an agile rogue, or a girl that comes apart? I guess it's not really fair after saying it out loud. Alice has a big advantage."

"I do?" Alice asks.

"Let's not jump to conclusions!" Snow says. "Just because she comes apart doesn't mean she's strong and flexible. And if she were to fall apart, that would be a disqualification, right?"

They all look to you.

"Oh, uh. Yeah. Sure," you reply.

"Why don't we settle this for real?" Snow suggests.

"But we don't have a pole."

Delphi flutters upwards. "I've got you girls covered!" From her hand, a single purple rope fires out and remains rigid in the air, at least for the moment. She then looks to Luna, who hops over to the other side and snatches it up. They keep the rope tight, and hold it around the level of your chest. You step to the side.

"Perfect. Thanks! How about it, Alice?" Snow smirks. "I challenge you to a game of limbo."

Alice points at herself. "Me? All right. I believe I understand the rule set. This might be fun."

"But of course, you feel strongly about this, so we should make it interesting." Delphi grins. "The loser will be punished by me, since I'm the most skilled at delivering punishments, as anyone would tell you."

"I accept." She nods.

"Fine with me. I won't lose anyway," Snow says.

Luna looks to you and chuckles. "I suppose you're the judge. You better watch them closely, Kyle."
