What do you do?
Make long term investments.
Sitting cross-legged on Olga's floor, you exhale slowly and turn outwards, expanding your consciousness beyond yourself and throughout the entire building. It takes some time to coordinate the tendril-like extensions of your mind, but eventually you reach out to the sleeping minds of everyone here. Moving floor by floor, you scan each room thoroughly, invading and mentally inseminating those who are dreaming, with others in the room, while marking the single occupants for a physical visit. Not forgetting to make sure that, while they may not remember exactly how they know you, they will probably not say no if you wanted to come by.
By the time you're done with your last 'visit', you're fairly sure that you've got at least a place to stay in most of the major cities in the world. With the hostel 'fucked', you walk out of the third floor window, and upon landing, realize that you're in a completely different part of the city, head down to a new pub, to 'mingle' a little more and to have somewhere the taxi can pick you up from.
There's no one waiting for you in your room tonight, which is a small relief, because you are exhausted. There is a lot that sexual energy can give you, but nothing beats a proper night's sleep. But, just as you drift off, you end up back in that empty space, with Djal applauding you. Behind him, that huge screen shows off a slowly rotating globe, with pins littered over it. Giving it a quick look, you have a very good guess as to what they represent. "Very well done. Not quite what I meant, but very well done, nonetheless." He beams with evil pride. You just shrug, and pull up a bed. He barks out a great laugh as you get into bed, in your own mind, and go to sleep.
In the morning, you look at your phone and see that it is awash with messages and emails from people you've only met in their dreams, with a common theme of having a great time meeting you and for you to give them a call if you are ever in their neck of the woods. While taking the time to respond to them individually, you also take this time to check up on your thralls back at home as well as your team here.
Gus has more or less settled and has control over his drinking, and also has gotten more comfortable around Ceres, who looks a little annoyed at having to actually work for her pay. But it is paying off. He's easier to joke around with and can bounce ideas like the best of them, finding little solutions that can make a big difference.
Terrence, on the other hand, has a permanent frown on and broods every time he and Dominique are in the same room. You don't know exactly how far these two have gotten, but maybe it's time for you to step in and help him get what he wants.
