What the hell: in for a penny, in for a pound!

“I appreciate your concern for my well being, but I don’t scare that easily.” You pull out your cell phone and start recording her.

“To be honest I don’t really care about Batman’s alter ego or whatever. But I would like you to tell me Batgirl’s real name.”

For the first time she tries not to answer, but she can’t stop the words coming out: “Barbara Gordon, may Hades curse you.”

“Never heard of her. What does she do for a living?”

“She used to work as a librarian but I don’t think she has a day job at the moment.”

“What else can you tell me about her?”

For 10 minutes, she names names. Dinah Lance. Karen Starr. Helena Bertinelli. Kara Danvers. Mari McCabe. Kory Anders. On and on. Some that are well known; some you’ve never heard of. And not just their names, but where they live, where the work, everything. 10 minutes of some of the most valuable information in the world.

And you get it all on tape.

Throughout it all, Wonder Woman’s expression is harsh, contemptuous. “And what exactly do you plan to do with this information? If you think they’ll somehow be easier prey because they’re women,” she says once you stop recording, “You’re in for a rude awakening.”

“Easier prey, no. More interesting prey, definitely” you reply with a broad wicked grin.
