Chrissy nods eagerly.

“As I said, I can’t judge your doodles. But considering the era, I would accept a photography series modeled on techniques of the time.”

“Oh that’s perfect thank you Dr. Miller! I can borrow the camera equipment from my roommate who’s super into vintage stuff like that and I bet you’ll love the clothing I already have planned to recreate a fashion magazine spread.”

“Not so fast. I think you’d be better served for your thesis project by focusing on these kinds of visuals.” You spin the tablet around to show the collection zoomed in on one of the nudes in the collage.

“What are you saying Dr. Miller?” Chrissy asks slowly as she instinctively hugs her arms over her chest.

“You were the one that begged for a way to do less work for my class in particular. I’ll let you turn in the same research, but I expect to see your visual portfolio focus a bit more specifically on the female form in 70s media. Take it or leave it.”
