Make Coffee

You make your way to the kitchen and set about making some coffee for Cherie as she stirs in the bedroom above. You finish making a cup and place it on the counter exactly as it was in her dream.

Cherie enters the kitchen, her eyes are immediately drawn to the counter, where the steaming cup of coffee sits, the aroma wafting through the air and enveloping her in a familiar and comforting embrace.

You can sense her puzzlement "What...? How did this get here? It's just like in my dream. The same cup, the same aroma, the same everything. It's uncanny."

She approaches the cup cautiously, her hand hovering over the warm ceramic as if afraid to disturb the perfect moment. The coffee looks exactly as it did in her dream, down to the slight swirl of cream and the perfect foam on top. She reaches out, her fingers wrapping around the cup, and takes a sip, the rich, smooth flavor exploding on her tongue, a perfect blend of comfort and invigoration.

As she sips her coffee, Cherie's mind races, trying to make sense of the surreal turn of events. She remembers the stress and chaos of her dream, the overwhelming sense of responsibility and the feeling of being alone in her struggle. And then, the appearance of a man, his calm presence and unwavering support, his ability to transform the chaos into order and to offer her a moment of peace and contentment.

You watch her as she comes to the only possible conclusion. "The ghost must have done this. He must have known about my dream and wanted to make it real. The house really is haunted. But damn if this isn't the friendliest haunting I've ever heard of!"

Cherie takes another sip, her eyes closing briefly as she savors the moment, the coffee and the realization of your kindness intertwining to create a perfect start to her day. She feels a deep sense of appreciation, a knowing that she is not alone, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. She takes her coffee to the living room to enjoy. Breakfast can wait just a little longer.
