Make A Joke

"Oh?" The reporter said, her tone light. "You're going to sic gravity on me? These things will be around my knees!"

The smile grew a little wider, smile-lines crinkling at the edges of Blaze's mouth. For a moment, Lois had the impression of immense age...or, perhaps, agelessness. The eyes reflected nothing, no emotion whatsoever. How many jokes would such a being have heard in all the centuries of their existence? How dead inside would they become, ultimately numb to every attempt at humor, as the same tired lines are said again and again...and the busty reporter blinked, suddenly sobered by that cold stare.

Then something inside the reporter stirred in response. Her spine stiffened, and she ignored the pain in her upper back as she deliberately gave her heavy tits a shake and shimmy. Fingers traced her nipples.

"I suppose," Lois said with deliberate calm. "We're not talking cash or credit?"

"No," Blaze said. The demon held the magic red kryptonite in her right hand, the left hand began to make a series of movements...and Lois saw scraps of her shirt flutter up from the floor, reweaving themselves into a new fabric. Not growing, exactly...but in a moment, it was a loop of white cloth. Lois caught it as landed on her cleavage, and shrugged out of her jacket to slide it on over her naked breasts. It wasn't much, but it made the reporter a little less indecent.

"My soul then?" Lois said. "Or do you want to impregnate me or something?"

The scarlet nose twitched. "My, what an active imagination you have. No, Lois, I just want a little quid pro quo. I've exposed you to my kryptonite...now I want you to expose a Kryptonian to it. Do this, and we are even."

Lois set her jaw. "And if I don't?"

Their eyes met. "Breast cancer," the demon said levelly. "Can metastasize to the rest of the body quickly."

The reporter stiffened. That ageless stare gave no hint of humor. Blaze wasn't joking.

The demon held out the red kryptonite jewel, and numbly, Lois lifted her hands to accept it.

"It must be done tonight, before dawn," Blaze said. "Now as you value your new assets, and your life...go, and do the thing."
