Arcana is an ancient and prestigious school dedicated to teaching young students how to use their magical abilities so they may one day become the next legendary heroes, and in contrast to them, there is the school of Penumbra, a school that teaches young students how to use their powers for evil so they may become the best villains they can be, the 2 schools are in a never-ending competition each one pushing their own ideals against one another.
There are 3 basic types of magical gifts, those that give elemental powers, those that grant the ability to transform and those that improve the physical abilities of the user.
The students at both schools get enlisted at the age of 18.
