Magic with a photograph

After an hour or two of searching, Helen was still no closer to finding a new spell for them to try. She had hoped that after being able to read the Astral Projection spell that the other spells would become clearer to her, but it seemed the spellbook was still keeping its secrets. The words would start to become legible, but she could never hold onto them for longer than a few moments before they swam away.

That was until she found a spell that made her heart stop for a second. The words were crystal clear, the meaning was perfectly obvious and she could see it so vividly in her mind. She felt a surge of adrenaline, and she had to bite her lip to stop herself from laughing out loud.

"A spell that lets you relive an experience," she whispered. "Even if the experience was not your own."

Helen felt a thrill run down her spine, and she looked at the spell in amazement. All she would need is a photograph of the moment she wanted to experience and the spell would transport her mind there. It was perfect.

A multitude of ideas were already running through Helen's mind. She could relive her eighteenth birthday party, her first holiday with Adam, her graduation, and so much more.

But, one experience in particular seemed the most appealing to her. An event that she had no memories of herself, and yet knew all about.

"Mum," Helen whispered with a grin, already beginning to imagine what her mother's wedding night had been like. "I'd just need a photo from her wedding album. Oh this is going to be brilliant."

Helen stopped herself from clapping in glee. Could she really do this? Would Adam go along with it? Did she even have to tell him?

The questions began racing through her mind. Shortly followed by the logistics of stealing a photo of her mother's wedding day without her realising.

"Ok, I can do this," Helen whispered, her pulse quickening at the thought of experiencing her mother's wedding night. She had been mesmerized by images of her mother's wedding dress as a child. To think she could feel her mother's joy, her excitement, her anticipation. But could she really do it?
