Chapter 37 by royal22erick royal22erick

Go see how Madison is doing with Michelle? Or skip and stay with John?

Madison travels

Madison couldn't lie to herself, she felt ... uneasy going to face the woman. Miss Rodriguez was in many ways her opposite, she was everything Madison was not, and even tho she was confident in her own abilities she had to admit that the woman made her feel inadequate on some level.

Madison was fit and always kept working to keep in shape but it was for a vein reason, she wanted to look good. Her new boyfriend's ex-coworker on the other hand was in peak physical condition for an entirely different reason, to be the best at what she does. The ex-soldier was extremely competent just like herself. Madison was an accomplished businesswoman leading a branch of the largest underground organization in the world, and yet, it felt like her accomplishments paled in comparison. Michelle was a leader in a world especially hostile for a woman, giving orders to men probably twice as strong as herself.

Begrudgingly, Madison had to admit she admired the woman. In less than 2 years, Michelle had risen up the rank of one of the most prestigious private security firms on the planet. She was soo good that her firm had sort of lent her and her team to a company dealing in high-end tech materials. They supplied almost 30% of the world's demands in everything related to state-of-the-art tech components, but that was only what they were known for. After a quick search in the House's database, Madison found out that their true value was in research. They seemed to come up with advancements in every field imaginable, if Madi was a betting woman, which she was certainly not, she'd bet that the tech components distribution was just there to create wealth to fuel their research department. Then they would sell the pattern for the finished product while keeping the patterns related to what was needed to make it.

It was actually pretty clever, they were giving up the finished product for compensation but by doing so giving up the chance at a very successful product. It sounded stupid on the surface but in truth, they were avoiding a lot of the hassles related to putting a new product on the market while maintaining a part of the profits by being the only ones able to make the parts needed to produce it. She was also certain they were not just giving away gold mines, the patterns they sold were certainly good and an advancement in the field but only by so much. Madison found 2 products they didn't sell and instead founded different companies to sell.

The first one was a product Madison was very aware of, it was a microprocessor. It used a still unreplicated element making the chip about a 100 times faster than the closest competitor, it was extremely pricey so not many were in circulation. Madison knew where a bunch of them were tho, in the server room of the House housing Aliss's memory core. The Ai wouldn't exist without those chips but her predecessor's obsession with Ai's was the driving **** in acquiring the chips even at an exorbitant price.

The second was even more impactful due to the fact that it was now broadly used around the world, there was no doubt in Madison's mind that this product was racking in at least a thousand times more money than the microprocessor, at least until the chips got cheaper to make so it became accessible. The tech was making her uneasy at first, she had large issues with the possible **** that was rampant in those kinds of apps. It was a modern matching app, the mind instantly goes to dating, and although it was certainly what it was mainly used for, the real advancement was in the realm of freelancers. This app was designed to find and match pretty much anything, find a significant other, a handyman, a dance teacher, an artist, you name it.

It was an information-gathering machine like never seen before and that is why Madison had misgivings about it, those information-gathering apps usually all operated with the same MO. Guaranteeing data security while turning around and selling that data to the highest bidder, they were of course protected by their ToS that you needed to accept to be able to download the app. But to Madison's relief and surprise they went in a completely different direction, the only data shared was what was present in the various post a user made and even that was only accessible on the post itself. That app could potentially, if you opted in all their functions, be connected to everything from your social media to your bank account, car GPS, and even to your medical files.

And yet, they didn't sell any of the information they gathered, in fact, they apparently took their user data security extremely seriously since even Aliss wasn't able to get in. Of course, if Madison really wanted to she could ask the Ai to devote a large part of her computing power to break their security, and eventually, she would get in but she was just curious about how well they protected their users. The milf even had a suspicion it might even be protected by another Ai, it would make sense since they obviously have the capability to create one, at least in terms of hardware.

The subscription was very reasonable and one look at loads of happy customers spoke of its efficiency. The app took every information it had gathered about you to find the right match for what you are looking for, and nobody had access to that information, not even the company itself. Madison was surprised to see in their ToS that to access any data other than the app functions needed a valid court order. The businesswoman was impressed and thought it might be a good idea to start looking into meeting whoever runs this company, maybe even forming some sort of alliance.

If Madison understood correctly, miss Rodriguez's position was comparable to the one mister Reeves occupied in the House. A quick reaction team that was in charge of reacting in case of trouble, she was still overseeing the security of their buildings but it was mostly delegated to various "security chiefs" present on each premise. Madison's eyes left her data pad screen when the cockpit door of her private plane opened to let the charming co-pilot through.

"Miss Ivy, we will be landing in about 5 minutes. Your car is ready and waiting on the tarmac." The young man informed politely.

"Thank you, George," Madison replied with a warm smile. "I have arranged for you and Dustin to be welcomed in the Los Angeles House's hangar while you wait for my return. I also conveyed both of your ... preferences to Samira, she said she had just the thing to entertain you guys." The mischievous milf finished. She couldn't help but smirk at the poor young lad's reaction, it was seriously cute to see him blush and mutter "thanks" while fleeing back to the cockpit.

When the head of the House exited the jet she was greeted by a familiar face.

"Ryan! Let me guess, Frank?" The Milf questioned with a pout,

"You know my brother, ma'am. He wouldn't let you be driven anywhere without style, although he should probably give me his job if he really cared." The driver joked while guiding the House leader to the right side of the car and opening the door for her.

Madison gave him a "thanks" before sitting in the muscle car.

After they were on the way, Madison turned to her driver and asked a question that burned her mind since she saw his car.

"Tell me, Ryan, What is it with all the men in my life driving black cars? I mean, I have a garage filled with the most expensive and iconic car on earth, and yet." She asked looking out the window with a wondering expression.

"Ah, the BMW?" Ryan guessed with a knowing smile. It wasn't the only black car in that garage but if who she was speaking about knew anything about cars it would be the one he picked.

"Ok, how the hell do you know that?" Madison probed in surprise.

"It's the one I would've picked to ... well, maybe the challenger but It's orange." He answered with a small frown.

"What is it? it's an alpha male thing or something?" She asked exasperated.

"Haha! I don't know about any Alpha male shit or not but I think you just surround yourself with people who are professional, just like a sexy red dress, a well-maintained black car sends a certain message." Ryan responded informatively.

Madison hummed thinking of how it actually made a lot of sense. But now they were close and she had to make a decision, should she try to get an appointment with the boss or just go for Michelle?

Michelle or boss?
