Madison does not recognize her

“What are you doing running around like that?” Madison asked irritably. “You’re going to freeze to ****!”

Despite her fear, Lauren bristled at the woman’s tone. Did this idiot think she didn’t know that? She wasn’t naked in the snow on purpose! “You’re the one who should watch where you’re going!” she snapped. “What if I’d gotten hurt?”

Madison glared down at her. “Don’t be rude!” To her shock, Madison reached down and picked her up! “Is your mother looking for you?” she asked, walking back toward the employee entrance she had just left.

“What?” Lauren asked, confused. How dare this woman manhandle her like this! “Put me down this instant!”

“I’ll take that as a no,” Madison said tiredly. She didn’t get paid enough for this. “Are you a part of the swim class?” The ski resort had a large, heated indoor pool, and held swim classes at various times.

“...Yes,” Lauren said cautiously. Luckily, it seemed the woman didn’t recognize her. That was probably for the best; Lauren had been so rude to her earlier that Madison might be tempted to take some kind of **** if she knew. She had no idea what possessed her to think it was alright to pick up guests and carry them like this, but if she took her to a changing room, she might be able to grab a bathing suit. “Yes, I am!” she said more firmly.

Madison shook her head. “They really need to keep a better eye on you guys,” she said exasperatedly. Lauren frowned, trying to figure out what she meant, before they entered the building again. The wonderful sensation of being warm again was enough to distract her from Madison’s words.

Madison continued to carry her down the hallway, much to Lauren’s discomfort. Thankfully, no one seemed to be around to see them. And though Lauren was tempted to demand that Madison put her down again, she was very warm. Reluctantly, she snuggled against the woman’s shoulder.

It was only when Madison entered the pool area that Lauren jerked and struggled to get away. The pool was filled with people! Another woman about Madison’s age was standing in front of a group of children, half of whom were wearing bathing suits. “I think one of your students got away,” Madison said, easily holding Lauren in place.

“Oh my gosh! How could that have happened?!” the woman exclaimed, holding out her arms. Madison passed Lauren to her as though she were a sack of potatoes. “She must have snuck out of the changing room while my back was turned!”

“No, this-this is a misunderstanding!” Lauren said, alarmed. This was a children’s swim class! The sort of place parents dumped their kids while they hit the slopes. Surely these morons couldn’t have mistaken her for being a child?! “I’m not-”

“Well, make sure she doesn’t escape again,” Madison said, interrupting her. The normally friendly woman was exhausted by the day’s events. “I found her outside! Any longer, and she could have been hurt.”

“Oh dear!” the woman said, holding Lauren up in front of her and looking at her critically. Lauren flushed red, very aware of her nakedness. As well as the fact that the children behind her were giggling. “Well, a nice dip in the pool will warm you up!”
