Maddie didn’t know how why to think. The shock of the words coming out of a speaker added little to her already precarious situation. She struggled hard to get out of her bonds. There must be some mistake she thought! She had imagined the life of tea parties and garden games she had been raised for. She took a passing glance at Natalie, who was looking back at her.
