Chapter 19 by SpiralFelix SpiralFelix

What does Mackenzie decide?

Mackenzie sticks to her guns and doesn't ask Brandon for any clothes

Mackenzie was about to cave. She just couldn't justify forcing herself to stay naked in her own home, even if it did mean admitting defeat. She opened her mouth to tell Brandon how embarrassed she truly was... and then she saw the smug look on his face. Mackenzie's anger and pride all came rushing back into her, almost in a frenzy. And a moment later, her cool, calm, collected mask was back.

"Yep, I'm good," she said. "Just grab my phone for me."

Brandon practically did a double-take. He clearly hadn't been expecting Mackenzie to choose that option. For a moment, he seemed like he was about to goad her further, but after a few seconds of silence, he seemed to think better of it. After all, he was getting what he wanted this way, right?

"Suit yourself," he said. "Be right back."

And with that, he proceeded upstairs, leaving the naked redhead on the couch alone for a few minutes.

Brandon was able to find Mackenzie's room easily enough thanks to her directions. Sure enough, there on her nightstand was a phone, plugged in and charging. He unplugged it, and placed it just under the edge of her bed, hoping to make it seem like it had somehow fallen out of sight on his own. That way, even when Mackenzie did eventually return to her room, he'd have some plausible deniability for letting her know he hadn't seen her phone.

"Guess you must've left it at the shop after all," he softly mused to himself, practicing the lie. After all, better to make sure Mackenzie needed him to stick around for his phone, lest she get any ideas about kicking him out again.

Next, Brandon made his way over to Mackenzie's dresser. Maybe he'd be nice and bring Mackenzie something to wear anyway. Something, lacy or skimpy... He opened her top drawer, correctly assuming it to contain her underwear, and was quite surprised by how... sparse it was. There were only three pairs in the whole drawer! He picked each one up to examine them, still under the self-described flimsy excuse of thinking about bringing his friend some clothes.

The one in the middle of the drawer turned out to be a little red thong, and Brandon had to hold in a whistle as he imagined Mackenzie in it. The other two pairs were shoved into the very back corner of the drawer, and had a sticky note affixed to them.

"DO NOT WEAR!" was scrawled in sharpie on the note. Brandon curiously picked these up as well. The navy blue pair seemed fine at first glance, until he noticed two rather large cuts in each side of the waistband. Even as he gently tugged at them, the tears seemed to spread a bit further down the panties. He picked up the pink pair behind them, and again, they seemed fine at first glance. Until he turned them around, and found a large hole in the back of them, leaving barely any fabric behind.

Both cases of damage didn't seem like normal wear and tear. What had happened to cause this kind of damage to Mackenzie's underwear? And why hadn't she simply thrown the ruined pairs out? Brandon quickly scanned through the rest of the dresser drawers, and found most of them likewise mostly empty.

Just how few clothes did this woman own? Was Mackenzie in a tougher financial position than he'd thought? Brandon actually started to feel a bit bad for the poor woman. He grabbed the thong, a t-shirt, and some loose basketball shorts. He figured the least he could do was use them as a peace offering after seeing Mackenzie winding up so completely exposed all day.

(He was unaware that the emptiness of Mackenzie's dresser was, in fact, largely due to a huge laundry backup. And that backup was, in turn, a direct result of her attempt to deep clean all of her work uniforms. Which had been, ironically, the reason she'd worn such an old an unreliable jumpsuit that day in the first place.)

As a bolt of lightning lit up the sky beside him, almost immediately followed by a loud crack of thunder, Brandon flinched. He glanced out the large bedroom window and, from what he could see in the dark stormy lighting, it was really raging out there! He tugged at the blinds, trying to lower them, but they seemed stuck for some reason. He fiddled with them for a bit longer, but couldn't get them to lower even an inch. The blinds simply seemed unwilling to move for some reason.

Brandon shrugged and turned to head back downstairs. He figured he'd already wasted enough time and didn't want Mackenzie to think he'd been snooping through her things. But as he passed through the doorway, a blinding bolt of lightning lit up the room and a massive crash of thunder roared, causing him to stumble. The house actually shook slightly, and suddenly everything went dark. And a moment later, Brandon heard Mackenzie scream from downstairs.

As soon as Brandon had begun ascending the stairs, Mackenzie began regretting her decision. Why had she turned down his offer for clothes? So stupid! What was she trying to prove? That she liked being stuck naked?! She sighed. This had gone on long enough. When Brandon returned, she'd ask him to bring her something to wear. The bastard could gloat all he wanted, she just wanted to finally put her humiliating ordeal of a day behind her.

She stifled a groan as she reminisced on how she'd somehow managed to wind up completely nude in her own shop, despite starting the day fully clothed just a few hours earlier. Mackenzie was no stranger to bad luck, especially where her wardrobe was concerned. But even for her, today took the cake! Usually when it happened she wound up with a torn garment or two, but...

Mackenzie suddenly sat up as a memory burst to the surface of her mind. Her dress! Mackenzie scooched herself backwards a bit, careful not to aggravate her ankle again, until her back was up against the couch's left arm. She leaned over the edge of the couch to check on a small wicker basket she kept there.

In the colder months, Mackenzie liked to keep a few blankets within arm's reach from her couch. In the summer, it typically ended up filled with an assortment of random items instead. Mackenzie reached her left arm down and felt through the objects. She only had to slip her fingers beneath a few discarded magazines before she felt it. The fabric of her dress! Or at least, what was left of it...

It had been about a month ago, when summer was finally arriving, that Mackenzie had made the grievous error of entering her backyard shed in the cute blue sundress. She had just been popping in to check if any tools or supplies needed replacing before heading to the store. In the span of just a minute, she managed to somehow accidentally get the dress torn to literal shreds! She'd ended up having to traverse her yard with just the remaining portion of the dress being little more than two shoulder straps and a couple inches of fabric dangling from them. After she'd gotten inside and redressed herself, she'd laid the torn scrap of fabric aside in the hopes of finding one in a matching color to replace it. She still hadn't quite gotten around to doing so, but at the moment Mackenzie was grateful for her procrastination.

She grabbed the edge of the fabric, finally feeling some small bit of optimism rush through her. It wouldn't cover much, but even if it covered most of her breasts, that was currently a big step up from being naked! Brandon could take his manipulative offer and shove it!

At least, that was what Mackenzie had been thinking until she realized the fabric must have been stuck on something. Maybe an edge in the wicker? It wasn't coming free from the pile of miscellaneous objects, no matter how hard she tugged. Not wanting to tear the thing apart, Mackenzie wrapped what she could around her wrist, hoping to distribute her yanking **** a bit more evenly. The straps of the dress had been made from a semi-elastic material, so it did have some give to it. But her renewed efforts yielded no change in results. The garment was still stuck, hooked on some invisible object in the bottom of the chaotic bundle of items.

Mackenzie grunted in frustration before shifting tactics. She was about to turn onto her stomach in hopes of using both hands to free her target. But as she tried to do so, her ankle cried out in pain. She immediately froze, wincing and waiting for the renewed wave of pain to subside. Then, with little other choice, Mackenzie figured she'd try rotating the other way. She spun her body the other way, laying on her back once again. Except, when she tried to pull her hand free from the basket, it wouldn't budge.

"Oh, come ON!" she hissed in mounting frustration. Was Mackenzie just not going to be able to catch a single break today?!

Mackenzie was now laying on her back on her couch, body completely bared to the empty room. She had slid far enough back that her back was resting on the armrest and her shoulders were well over the edge of the couch. And her left hand was trapped directly below her shoulder. If she tried to turn too far to her left, her ankle would flare up again. If she tried to turn any farther to her right, she was stopped by her trapped wrist. Mackenzie was beginning to feel more trapped by the second. With no other options coming to mind, Mackenzie blindly reached her right hand down, hoping she'd be able to at least untangle her ensnared hand.

Mackenzie spent the next minute or two blindly trying to accomplish something, anything! With her head stuck staring up at the ceiling, she alternated between trying to tug the dress scrap off of her wrist and trying to just yank the scrap free of the basket entirely. However, as her shoulders began to ache from the effort, Mackenzie couldn't help but come to the depressing conclusion that she'd only managed to make things worse. The tangled straps now felt uncomfortably tight on her left wrist. The nude beauty decided to give it one more **** try. After all, what did she have to lose? She shoved her right hand down to the basket again and began tugging frantically on the stretched out dress straps.

Suddenly, a blinding bolt of lightning lit up the room and a massive crash of thunder roared, causing Mackenzie to flinch in surprise. The house actually shook slightly, and suddenly everything went dark. And a moment later, the scrap of a dress finally came free from the basket. Unfortunately, that meant it snapped shut on Mackenzie's wrist at a blisteringly fast speed. ...Her right wrist.

Mackenzie let out a loud yelp of equal parts surprise and pain. The sensation was not unlike getting snapped by a rubber band, although a few times more painful than any she'd felt before. The sudden release of tension, coupled with the sudden shock of pain, caused Mackenzie's body to jump slightly in place, despite her laying position. And that was just enough to send her teetering over the edge of the couch. Before Mackenzie could even register what was happening, she was tumbling to her carpeted living room floor. She landed roughly, but it was luckily only a very short fall. And the pain radiating through her face and torso (while not the worst pain she'd experienced that day) was still unwelcome.

"Ow..." Mackenzie whined as she lifted her face from the carpet. The sooner this day was over the better, in her opinion. The redhead tried to use her hands to push herself up from the floor, but found she couldn't move them from behind her back. She tried tugging harder, but it was no use. Her hands were now completely bound together. Behind her back. By the one tiny piece of clothing she'd hoped would provide her some scrap of modesty.

What's in store for Mackenzie next?
