Chapter 2
by The Doctor
How does Macius react?
Macius charges into the pool!
Macius let out a fearsome battlecry, echoed by Endelion's thundering hooves. His weapon raised, the Knight-Errant rushed through the grass, down the slope and into the pool. Terrified naiads shouted in despair as he beheaded the first, a beautiful blonde. Her body hadn't yet splashed into the water, tainting it crimson, that two more shared her fate.
His jaw clenched, he put all his strength into the slaughter. Others would have taken pleasure or shouted religious cries, but Macius was a professional. His task was simple: eliminate all remaining heathen presence fouling Her Gracious Majesty's Provincial Holdings in Elenar's Rise. He was accomplishing it with record efficiency, ruthless precision, and **** prejudice.
The terror cries soon died out, and only the happy noises of birds and water splashing remained. Blood, soon replaced by purer water, stopped staining the pool as the bodies floated away.
Macius drove Endelion out of the pool, into a curving path up the mountain. There was more heathenry this way, he could feel it.
"He is approaching, my Lord. Should I order him blasted for murdering daughters of Imarsi, or should we capture him alive for questioning?" The questioner, a tiny, wrinkled old man, looked entirely made of a very old rage bottled up for millennia.
