MUTAGEN AMMUNITION

The exact source of this ammunition is unclear, but these rounds must come from a Vault laboratory. They are intended to be used against Super Mutants, and are extremely effective in that capacity. A single shot from one of these bullets will instantly reverse all effects of F.E.V., reducing a Super Mutant to an ordinary human and robbing them of most of their advantages. It also allows them to think more clearly. Against most humans, this ammunition is harmless. Even a point-blank shot will barely sting. However, against humans whose DNA has been tampered with, it is likely to cause uncontrollable mutations.

Dr. Curio’s note: I’ve encountered these bullets only a handful of times. The first, a raider grabbed for the wrong gun and shot me with one. The effect was rapid, affecting my metabolism to impact the distribution of fat in my body. It took me several days to notice that I was becoming rather curvier than my diet should have warranted. I was able to have this mutation reversed. The second time, I found one of these bullets and used it on myself out of curiosity. My clitoris swelled to twice its normal size, I because constantly aroused, and acquired a persistent ache and sense of emptiness. This was not as much fun as it sounds; the danger of dehydration became significant. Additional note: the power of this weapon is in the formula, not the munition.
