MORE than Okay!

April's shaking reached its peak, her body shuddering uncontrollably. Then, as if a dam had burst, a wave of joyous laughter erupted from her. It was a sound that filled the room, a sound of pure, unadulterated relief. Tears welled up in her eyes, but they were not tears of sadness, but tears of joy.

"Oh, Texas…" she gasped between fits of laughter, "You have no idea what this means! You have no idea…"

"Um, April, you okay?" Texas asked out of concern.

"I'm more than okay... I feel great!" April exclaims, "I thought I was going to lose my mind out there, chasing those blasted birds! That, and having to deal with Vivian's demands, other outlaws and criminals and other people's needs! Worst of all, the townspeople don't even accept us! Even when they do, it's only for a short amount of time! We're....WE'RE FREE! FREE!"

April then gives her ex-sheriff a big hug, so happy that she was finally gonna have a better life with her best friend.

Texas stared at April, a bewildered look on her face. Roxxie, however, let out a long, knowing whistle.

"Welp, looks like the sidekick is happy" The roo smirked, "Best part is I'm coming too!"

"One: Not a sidekick... Not anymore, anyways," April corrects her, "Second, Texas... I-I know that Roxxie of all people helped ya, but are you sure that it's a good idea to let her join us?"

"I know that Roxxie is still a criminal, but she did help me finally find my true calling, so... yeah" Texas answers, while secretly blushing.
