Lydgate Gets a Break

EPISODE 11: Tertius Lydgate is spirally out of control shunning his friends and putting his house up for sale. Rosamond goes to see the agent selling the house telling him to take it off the market. He refuses at first but she sucks him off and, after spurting all over her face, changes his mind. She then contacts Lydgate’s rich uncle asking for him to pay off the debt.

Lydgate is furious to find that the house is not being advertised, but finally gives in and also writes to his uncle. The uncle replies that Tertius is spineless for letting his wife do his dirty work and a blazing row ensues. Once more they have make-up sex but this time with the husband passive. She deep throats him while he fingers her pussy and anus and then rides him until he is ready to cum on her face.

Lydgate gambles on billiards in a pub. Fred is also there and contemplates joining in, but becomes so shocked by Lydgate’s behaviour that he thinks better of it. Camden, the gambling vicar, just happens to be downstairs and wants to speak to Fred to stop him gambling but Fred manages to persuade his brother-in-law to act as a go-between mainly to get him away from the game. Fred’s plan works but the vicar threatens to tell Mary if he gambles again.

At last Lydgate goes to the bank to help fund the hospital, but Bulstrode has troubles of his own. He advises Lydgate to seek the help of Dorothea, as he will not loan him any money. Bulstrode advises declaring bankruptcy instead. An enemy from Bulstrode’s past, Mr Raffles, turns up and is found intoxicated by Mr Garth. He hands the alcoholic over to Bulstrode, who calls Lydgate to look after him. Bulstrode now lends Lydgate the money, but is a bad carer and `Raffles dies.

Unfortunately Raffles has told another person about Bulstrode’s secrets and soon everybody in Middlemarch knows. The banker is publicly ostracized and Lydgate is considered guilty by association.

COMMENT: Our new agreement with Natalie meant she took care of the sexual content of this episode on her own and everybody else concentrated on the intricate plotting of the book. Surprisingly the audience figures were increasing but maybe because we hinted at a fantastic scene in the penultimate episode.
