Lunch with Sakura? The Unexpected Accurs!

Iruka finishes revealing the last of the teams before dismissing the Genin for lunch.

"Weird", you think to yourself, "that's gonna be the last time Iruka acts as my teacher. From now on we are fellow Shinobi".

As you head outside with your lunch, you see Naruto trying to talk to Sakura but she's ignoring him completely.

You can't help but laugh at this sight. Reminds you of when you had a crush on Sakura. But you figure that since you are all on the same team, you should get to know each other.

As you walk up to the two of them, Naruto runs off in a huff past you.

"H-Hey Naruto! Where you going?!", you yell but he just keeps on running.

"Don't mind him John, he's always been weird like that. Running off all emotionally just because I don't wanna eat lunch with him", Sakura says while rolling her eyes.

"Right, what am I thinking? There's no way Sakura would wanna spend time with me or Naruto. To her, I'm nothing more than protection from Naruto. Nothing more nothing less", you say in your head.

But then the unthinkable happens!

"John?", she says with a faint blush on her cheeks and a cute smile, "Please eat lunch outside with me!"

Your eyes widen. Did the girl that never even noticed you as a kid just invite you to lunch?

All you can say is, "U-Um, sure".

She smiles widely and wraps her left arm around your right arm before she starts walking you over to the bench. As the two of you walk, you can't help but wonder. What's with Sakura today?
