Lunch at The Restaurant

It was almost afternoon at the next day, Christy woke up after good rest from last night shift. She pick the Jerry's name card. she rolled the card between her small finger while thinking whether she accept the offer or not. Jerry was a good looking, sweet and handsome guy as far as she knew, they always drink after work talk almost everything whether about jobs, girls, college, and so on.

"Ok, I don't think he would do anything bad. I also need the money for the tuition in the future." She said to herself. She picks up her flips and start dialing his number.

"Hello?" said someone from the other side of the phone.

"Hi, I'm from the John's Cage. My boss said you want me to accompany you to the gala."

"Oh, okay. Let meet up. So we can discuss further about this matter. Have you already had lunch?"

"That's Jerry whom I know he he he." her thought silently comes out from her head.

"No, I haven't"

"Do you know the restaurant near my office? oh, wait a sec, do you know my office?"

"Brad-Cole & Partner, right? My boss gave me your name card."

"Yes, that's the one. There's family restaurant not far from there"

"Okay, just give me time to freshen a bit and I'll be there."

The restaurant is cramped with people because it was the lunch time. When she arrives, Jerry already on the table, waving his hands to her as she recognize her from the bar last night.

"What do you want to eat? I'm Jerry by the way." He introduce himself to her.

"Almost anything, I am famish right now. I had skip the breakfast this morning, sleeping." she laughed sheepishly.

"This restaurant famous with its steak, why don't I order it for you."

"Fabulous, I love that. Oh, my name is..."

"Christy, right? Johnny recommended you highly and here you are."

"Thank you. I'm flattered."

"Well, Like I said to Johnny I need an escort to the Gala and I was hoping you can fill the vacant nicely. You will get paid hourly, and maybe... if you don't mind you will escort me also in other occasion."

"When this gala you mention is be held?"

"Tomorrow night. Will you be available tomorrow?"

"Hmmm... I could asked one of the girls to cover me tomorrow. Don't worry."

"Perfect. Where and when I should picked you then?"

"I will message you the address later. you can pick the time also later."

"The outfit? do you need to buy anything? I will paid them also. consider is as a gift for all the trouble I cost."

"Hmmm... I have old red long dress from the prom, or you had any other ideas?"

"That will do. I promise I will buy for any other occasion."
